A bio-probe having a base and a tip, and comprising a longitudinal core of substantially rigid material. On the core, there is a first layer of dielectric material, supported by and substantially circumferentially surrounding the core. Also, a set of conductors, each conductor extending longitudinally along the first layer of dielectric material and a second layer of dielectric material, substantially covering each of the set of conductors. For each of the conductors, an aperture is defined through the second layer of dielectric material to the conductor, thereby defining an electrode. In one preferred embodiment of this aspect, the first layer of insulative material is in the form of a tube and wherein the core is removable from the tube.

Multi-channel flexible bio-probe and method of making the same

A method of producing a bio-probe that begins with the step of providing a tapering core of substantially rigid material. The core is then coated with dielectric material and this dielectric material is coated with a first layer of conductive material. The conductive material is then divided into longitudinal traces, extending from the base into proximity to said tip. The conductive material is then coated with a second layer of dielectric material. Finally, portions of the second layer of dielectric material are removed to form apertures to the conductive material, thereby forming electrodes.

Method of making a bio-probe

A bio-probe having a base and a tip, and comprising a core of substantially rigid, high-strength material, said core tapering inwardly from the base to the tip and a set of conductors extending longitudinally about said core. In addition, dielectric material, substantially electrically isolates each conductor from its surroundings. Also, a set of apertures is defined by the dielectric material to the set of conductors, thereby defining a set of electrodes.

Multi-channel structurally robust brain probe and method of making the same

A wood splitter comprising a support structure, a table assembly, a ram assembly, and wedge member, and a control means. The support structure supports the table assembly. The control system energizes the ram assembly to force the wedge towards the table assembly. A workpiece is placed on the table assembly such that the wedge engages and splits the workpiece.

Computer designed ergonomic upright wood splitter systems and methods

The specification describes a controller apparatus for a DC motor and a lamp having a filament electrically connected in parallel with the DC motor, comprising: (a) an output driver circuit for generating a DC power signal, where the DC power signal energizes the DC motor; (b) an AC signal generating circuit for generating an AC power signal; and a high frequency coupling transformer for so adding the AC power signal to the DC power signal that the AC power signal energizes the filament. Preferably, the controller also comprises: (a) a switching circuit for periodically preventing the DC power signal from controlling the DC motor; (b) a speed sensing circuit for determining a speed of the locomotive by measuring a back EMF signal generated by the DC motor during the time that the switching means prevents the DC power signal from controlling the DC motor; and (c) an error correcting circuit for correcting the DC power signal based on the speed of the locomotive.
