A device that enables an assessment or a management of a medical condition in a patient, includes a base member comprising a pair of surface spaced apart from each other to define a thickness of the base member. The base member can be provided as an elongated base member. Markings are disposed on one surface from the pair of surfaces of the elongated base member along a length of the elongated base member. An array of targets is provided with targets being disposed, during use of the device, below a bottom edge of the elongated base member. Coupling members are also provided with each coupling member coupling a respective target from the array of targets to the elongated base member for a reciprocal linear movement along the length of the elongated base member. The device can be affixed to a structure or provided as a mobile device.

Functional reach assessment device and method

The present invention in several embodiments is a mobility assessment device which is easy to use and which will aid practitioners in evaluating a patients' mobility. The mobility assessment device of the present invention is preferably constructed from a skid resistant high contrast material that can easily be folded, rolled or stored in a compact space. The mobility assessment device of the present invention may include markings or indicia to aid a patient in properly performing one or several mobility assessment tests. The included indicia may have measurements and other marking for aiding a medical professional in evaluating a patient's mobility.

Mobility assessment device

In one embodiment, a fluid ejection device comprises a substrate having a fluid slot defined from a first surface through to a second opposite surface; an ejection element formed over the first surface and that ejects fluid therefrom; and a filter having feed holes positioned over the fluid slot near the first surface. Fluid moves from the second surface through the feed holes to the ejection element. In a particular embodiment, the filter is formed of a first material that is surrounded by a second material. In another particular embodiment, the filter is formed from the back side and is formed of the same material as the substrate.

Novel apparatus for liquid treatment of units of a product such as blocks of cheese wherein the units are floated in a flowing stream of the treatment liquid and are conveyed by the treating liquid from an inlet of the tank to an outlet of the tank. For some embodiments, a minimum turning radius is defined. Also, for some embodiments, the tank comprises a pair of first and second side-by-side conveying channel members converging from an outer perimeter defined by an outermost loop to an innermost loop defined by innermost portions of the pair of channel members and wherein portions of the first and second conveying channel members of the innermost loop are separated from side-by-side relationship over a portion of the innermost loop, and join to each other as in end-to-end relationship, such that liquid entering the innermost loop through one of the first and second conveying channel members leaves the innermost loop through the other of the first and second conveying channel members.
