The invention relates to a method for creating a diffused thin film surface treatments on one or more interior surfaces of closed or partially closed fluid transport or processing systems providing improved surface prophylaxis against fouling. The method involves contacting the interior surfaces to be treated with a metal compound composition, and converting the metal compound composition to metal oxide for example by heating the surfaces to the desired temperature after all or a part of the system has been assembled. Embodiments of the present invention can be performed in situ on existing fluid processing or transport systems, which minimizes the disruption to the surface treatment created by welds, joints, flanges, and damage caused by or during the system assembly process.

Methods for providing prophylactic surface treatment for fluid processing systems and components thereof

An apparatus and method for generating cavitation in fluids is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing for receiving a rotor, which is driven by a motive force. Multiple embodiments of the rotors are disclosed including, but not limited to, centrally feed, centrally drained, face feed, and face drained rotors. In one preferred embodiment, cavitation is enhanced by inducing tensile stress in the fluid by subjecting the fluid centrifugal force or centripital force depending upon the flow of the fluid.

The present invention relates to improved spark plugs for igniting a fuel charge in an internal combustion engine, and is particularly concerned with an improved spark plug construction which improves combustion pressure and fuel mileage and diminishes exhaust pollution. The spark plug includes a center electrode and a ground electrode. In one embodiment, the ground electrode has an elongate edge that extends past the major dimension of the center electrode. The elongate edge can either be positioned substantially tangentially to or within a &ldquo;zone&rdquo; outside of the center electrode's periphery. Preferably, the edge of the center electrode and the lower interior edge of the ground electrode will be presented towards one another such that the edges are or are among the closest portions within the sparking region.
