A self aligning stacking ring guides stacked cans into alignment. The self aligning stacking ring includes radially protruding alignment bumps angularly spaced apart at a common radius corresponding to a recess in the bottom of common cans. The self aligning stacking ring guides tend to center a can placed over the self aligning stacking ring guides to make stacking cans easier and quicker.

This invention forms a loose fill packing material comprising clean, elongated strips of paper formed from corrugated cardboard having internal fluting formatted to expand in height, improving the ability of the strips to lattice. A vertical slitter divides cardboard into blanks of a predetermined width generally with the grain of corrugation. The blanks are fed into a shredding device that cuts the blanks with a scissor motion across the width of the blank. The strips pass onto a cleated perforated conveyor and into an enclosed suction housing. Inside the suction housing is a vortex box enhancing air flow for cleaning the strips. Strips are centered on the conveyor. The strips move from the conveyor to an angled, vibrating sifter plate into a collector. Strips are sprayed with a liquid material having microbicidal, sanitizing, insect repellant, disinfectant and/or deodorizing properties.

A can holder for supporting a smaller can on top of a larger can during shipping in a carton. The can holder fits closely within the raised lip around the cover of the larger can. The can holder has one, two, or three raised cylindrical rings are capable of holding the bottom of a smaller can within one of the rings. When the larger can, the can holder, and the smaller can are placed in a proper sized carton, the lid of the carton holds the smaller can in the ring on the can holder and prevents if from shifting during shipping.

A wrist pad for protecting the wrist of a snowboard rider from adverse rotation and consequent serious injury. The wrist pad comprises an elastic body portion of nominal thickness generally defined by an inner and outer surface which is bounded by a plurality of elongated side edges, said body portion having integral means for lending structural rigidity to the entire pad assembly, said structural rigidity means comprising an elongated semi-rigid support member having a profile approximating the wrist-hand junction of a wearer, and a plurality of opposing flaps and straps having alternate faces of hook and loop material respectively, thereby forming a releasably securable structure around said wearer's wrist.

This invention is concerned with a protective knee guard which is useful for protecting a skateboard rider's knee areas from injury while affording the rider additional control of the skateboard. The knee guard has a protective shell having integral raised ridge areas which define a control surface, permitting the rider to make sliding contact between the knee guard and the ground in a manner to achieve superior board control during various stunts such as precision control in landings subsequent to ramp assisted aerial maneuvers.

A pad for protecting the knee area of a wearer while engaging in activities such as snowboarding, skating, or the like, the pad comprising an elastic, waterproof body portion of nominal wall thickness and low weight, generally configured in a concave shape to comfortably fit over the knee area and around the leg of the wearer, the body portion having an internally disposed resilient member attached thereto for cushioning loads during forward falls, and integral provisions for releasably securing the pad around the wearer's leg in a snug fit, the releasable attachment provisions generally comprising two pairs of transversely disposed flaps unitarily formed in the body portion, one of each pair of flaps having loop material on one face thereof and a slot extending therethrough, and the other of each pair having an attached elongated planar strap, each strap having hook and loop material on opposing faces thereof, the entire configuration adapted for overlapping engagement.

A handle for removable attachment to a skateboard comprises a handle stem, a handle bar fastened to one end of the stem, and connecting structure secured at the other end of the stem for removably connecting the stem to the front end of a skateboard in upstanding relation thereto, the connecting structure having a base plate with a pair of opposed downwardly facing L-shaped grooves for sliding engagement with the slides of a generally horizontal flat plate member rigidly connected to the lower end of the stem. A fastening clip is connectable to said base plate for holding the stem in connection therewith. Alternative connecting structure may be employed by way of a removable hinge pin and related structure. Bracing strut member may be employed in connection with the handle stem for resisting twisting moments applied by a rider. The connecting structure is provided with a bolt hole pattern adapted to connect to the universal skateboard wheel truck bolt pattern.
