There is disclosed a locking pin subassembly (94) for pull out components of storage cabinets having a locking bar (86) of C-shaped configuration, a locking pin (115) projecting from a threaded stud which is engagable in a threaded nut (127). The nut is the shape of a parallelogram, the nut has two pairs of projections (133a and 133b) engagable with interior surfaces of the flanges (92) of the locking bar so that when the lock pin is threaded into the nut, the nut will be drawn toward the rear surfaces of the flanges with the projections engaging the rear faces of the flanges affording antirotational and antisliding contact.

A new and improved cable bushing including a frame portion, and a detachable filler portion connected to the frame portion, is herein disclosed and claimed. The filler portion includes at least one hinged flap movable between a first position in which the flap is remote from the interior of the frame portion, and a second position in which the flap is disclosed substantially within the frame portion so as to permit a cable to be received therethrough while the frame portion occupies an opening within a unit of office furniture or partition. The filler portion with its flap in its first position has a substantially flat top surface which may be disposed in a coplanar relation with the top or exposed surface of the structure in which the bushing is mounted.

A document holder or filing device comprising a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of a book-like item to be filed, said spine piece having head and tail ends, and at least one finger at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the associated head and tail ends of the spine between themselves and the spine piece, first and second interlocking means so configured and disposed as to be engageable one with the other and, when engaged, prevent the further relative movement of the fingers and thereby maintain the book-like item captive within the holder, and resiliently distortable means biased so as to maintain said first and second interlocking means in engagement and manually distortable so as to permit the disengagement of the interlocking means and thereby the release of the binder from the document holder.

Document holder

A document holder has a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of the document to be filed and a plurality of fingers at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the head and tail of the spine between themselves and the spine piece.

A storage cabinet is provided which comprises at least one pull-out frame with a book support for supporting books so that they can be opened and read without removing them from the frame. The book support is in the form of a hanger bar from which the books are hung for storage. The hanger bar is adapted to permit the books to be easily pivoted up into a reading or use position and also to permit the books to be removed easily if pivoted to a selected book-releasing position.

Document storage system

A novel loose-leaf holder is provided for binding documents such as multi-leaf computer printouts and mounting the same in a suspension-filing and/or storing system. The holder is of the type described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,056,296 and comprises a plastic body which is molded as an integral unit and comprises two side sections which are connected together by a hinge section so that they can be swung toward and away from one another. The improvement comprises document mounting pins carried by one side section and engageable by the other side section, one or more of the pins being adjustbly mounted on the one side and movable toward and away from the other pins. Manually releasable locking means are provided for locking the two side sections together so as to captivate documents which are mounted on the pins.

Out-indicator for hanging filing system

A novel stand is provided for supporting reference manuals of the type comprising a loose leaf holder with a hook located intermediate its end. The stand features means for preventing the holders from moving side-to-side and means adapted to interlock with the hooks of the holders to secure the latter in place. As added features, a key-operated locking device may be provided to prevent removal of the holders from the stand and two wire 'flyleafs' may be attached to the stand to support the pages of the attached manuals when they are opened.

Manually releasable locking means are provided for locking the two side sections together so as to captivate documents which are mounted on the binding posts.

A cabinet is provided which comprises a pull-out shelf, means for supporting books on the shelf so that they can be opened and read without removing them from the shelf, and means for automatically closing the books at the ends of the shelf when the shelf is pushed back into the cabinet.
