An RFIC receives power induced by receiving an electromagnetic wave for power reception to output a transmission signal. A power reception coupling unit is electromagnetically coupled to the conductor to receive power. A transmission coupling unit is electromagnetically coupled to the conductor to output a transmission signal to the conductor.

An RFIC module is provided that includes an RFIC, an antenna connection first electrode, an antenna connection second electrode, an RFIC connection first electrode, an RFIC connection second electrode, an impedance matching circuit that matches impedance between the RFIC and an antenna, and a substrate. The impedance matching circuit includes a first coil and a second coil that each have a coil opening extending along a surface of the substrate. The first coil and the second coil are juxtaposed on the substrate with the antenna connection first electrode and the antenna connection second electrode interposed therebetween.

A radio communication module is provided that includes a circuit board, a first radiation conductor, and an insulating resin. In the circuit board, a first main surface and a second main surface are included, and a second radiation conductor is provided on the second main surface of the circuit board. The first radiation conductor is flat and is provided near the first main surface. The insulating resin is provided near the first main surface side. The thickness of the first radiation conductor is larger than the thickness of the second radiation conductor.

Radio communication module

An RFID auxiliary antenna device is provided on an article that is adjacent to an RFID tag to be communicated or accommodates the RFID tag. The RFID auxiliary antenna device includes a conductive pattern that circles the article. A capacitance component generated between conductive patterns and an inductance component of the conductive pattern configure a resonant circuit. A resonant frequency of the resonant circuit is equal to or substantially equal to a communication frequency of the RFID tag, and the RFID auxiliary antenna device is magnetically coupled to each of the RFID tag and a reader/writer.

RFID auxiliary antenna device

An antenna device is provided as a near-field communication antenna device that is configured by arranging a plurality of loop antennas. Each loop antenna includes a plurality of parallel circuits each having a capacitor and a resistance element; and a plurality of looped conductors in a shape of a loop that is divided. The divided looped conductors are connected to each other via the parallel circuits, and the plurality of looped conductors and the plurality of parallel circuits form a loop.

Antenna device and RFID tag communication device

An RFID tag is provided that includes an insulator film, an antenna with an antenna conductor pattern disposed on the insulator film, and an RFIC module mounted on the insulator film. The RFIC module includes an RFIC and an impedance matching circuit. The impedance matching circuit includes a first coil and a second coil. Main planes of magnetic flux loops generated in the vicinities of the first coil and the second coil by the antenna are not parallel to main planes of magnetic flux loops generated in the first coil and the second coil.

RFID tag RFIC modules are provided with each module including an RFIC, an antenna connection first electrode, an antenna connection second electrode, an RFIC connection first electrode, an RFIC connection second electrode, an impedance matching circuit that matches impedance between the RFIC and an antenna, and a rectangular substrate. A first coil and a second coil of the impedance matching circuit are juxtaposed in/on the substrate, and a straight line passing through center of gravity of the coil opening of the first coil and center of gravity of the coil opening of the second coil is inclined with respect to one side of the substrate, and directions of this inclination are different between the first RFIC module and the second RFIC module.

An RFID tag is provided that includes a first planar conductor having a first opening, a second planar conductor partially or entirely facing the first planar conductor and having a second opening, an RFIC, a capacitor, and an inductor. The RFIC, the capacitor, and the inductor form a part of a current closed loop. Moreover, the first opening and the second opening have sizes that do not come into contact with a metal screw inserted into the first opening and the second opening. The first opening is located closer to a center than to an edge of the first planar conductor, and the second opening is located closer to a center than to an edge of the second planar conductor.

An RFIC module includes an insulating substrate; a stacked coil formed into a plurality of layers in the insulating substrate and formed along four side surfaces of the insulating substrate; an RFIC mounted on a first planar surface of the insulating substrate; and a planar coil disposed on a second planar surface of the insulating substrate, that partially has an open portion, and that overlaps the stacked coil in a plan view of the insulating substrate. The stacked coil is connected to the RFIC. The RFIC is disposed at a position close to a first side surface and close to a third side surface of the insulating substrate. A part of the RFIC overlaps the stacked coil in a plan view of the insulating substrate. The open portion of the planar coil is formed at a position close to the first side surface.

An RFID inlay includes an RFID module and an antenna. The RFID module includes an RFIC and an antenna sharing circuit provided between the RFIC and the antenna. The RFIC includes a power receiving terminal to which power induced upon receipt of an electromagnetic wave for power reception is input and a transmitting terminal from which a transmission signal for RFID is output. Moreover, the antenna receives the electromagnetic wave for power reception and generates an electromagnetic wave for RFID.

RFID inlay

An RFID tag is provided that has reduced size while a decrease in communication distance is prevented. The RFID tag includes an inductor element having a coiled antenna built in a substrate and an RFIC element mounted on a mounting surface of the substrate and electrically connected to the coiled antenna. The coiled antenna is disposed such that a winding axis becomes parallel to or inclined with respect to the mounting surface of the substrate. The area of the RFIC element viewed in a direction orthogonal to the mounting surface of the substrate is larger than opening area of the coiled antenna viewed in winding axis direction of the coiled antenna. The RFIC element is disposed without overlapping at least a portion of opening region of the coiled antenna when viewed in winding axis direction of the coiled antenna.

RFID tag and method for producing the same

An RFIC module is provided that includes a base material; an RFIC mounted on the base material; antenna-side terminal electrodes formed on the base material and constructed to be connected to or coupled to an antenna; and an insulating protective film that covers a first surface of the base material and the RFIC, with the protective film being made of a hot melt resin.
