A battery pack includes unit cells and holders for sandwiching the unit cells. The holder includes a holding portion which holds the unit cell such that an electrode of the unit cell projects from between the holder and another holder sandwiching the unit cell, and a plurality of projecting portions which project in a direction in which the electrode projects from the holding portion and face each other across the electrode projecting from the holding portion. The projecting portion includes a passage which is formed along a direction, in which the unit cell is sandwiched, and is configured to flow fluid, and an opening which communicates with the passage and is open toward the electrode projecting from the holding portion.

Battery pack

A passenger detecting device includes a plurality of weight sensors, a passenger judging and data updating device and an update forbidding device. The weight sensors are arranged at different positions of a seat for respectively detecting weights acting on the seat of a motor vehicle. The passenger judging and data updating device is capable of judging a passenger on the seat based on the loads detected by the weight sensors and updating information on the passenger. The update forbidding device prevents the passenger judging and data updating device from judging the passenger or prevents the information to be updated when a sum-weight fluctuation amount is not less than a first predetermined threshold value, where the sum-weight fluctuation amount is obtained by summing up weight function amounts which are absolute values of fluctuations of the loads detected by the weight sensors.

An occupant-detecting apparatus includes a plurality of load sensors configured to detect a load imparted on a vehicle seat, and an occupant-sitting determination device configured to determine whether or not an occupant is seated on the vehicle seat, based on detected result of the load sensors. The load sensors are configured to detect loads at different positions on the vehicle seat, and the occupant-sitting determination device is configured not to perform occupant-sitting determination if an absolute value (&#x394;W) of a variable amount in a sum of detected result of the load sensors is lesser than a predetermined threshold value (TH/L).
