A vehicular seat belt assembly can include a pair of lateral webbing strips configured to extend laterally across a first portion of vehicular passenger, distal ends being statically secured to the vehicular support structure, and proximal ends being selectively connected to and disconnected from each other. A pair of upper body strips can be configured to contact a second portion the passenger. An anchor can be statically secured to the vehicular support structure, and configured to guide each of the upper body strips so as to enable a change in a direction of extension of the upper body strips, and to thereby absorb a portion of a load created by the force applied to the passenger and applied to the upper body strips. A retractor assembly can be configured to enable length adjustment of the upper body strips if the load is below a certain threshold level.

Methods and apparatus for restraining vehicular passengers

Some embodiments are directed to a vehicle bed system for use with a vehicle that includes a cargo compartment, a tail light, a tail light cover, and a fender. The vehicle bed system can include a bed bottom that defines a bottom surface of the vehicle cargo compartment, and a pair of bed sidewalls that are disposed at opposite sides of the bed bottom. Connectors can directly connect each of the fender, tail light, and tail light cover to one of the bed sidewalls.

Methods and apparatus for supporting vehicle components

Some embodiments are directed to a vehicular door assembly that includes a door that is movable between the open and closed positions, and a window panel assembly that includes interior member, a frame member surrounding the interior member, and a plurality of connector assemblies. A interior member mount assembly includes a bracket, a spring guide, and a spring. The bracket includes a base portion rigidly connected to the door, and a flange portion that defines an aperture and that extends at an angle relative to the base portion. The spring guide is movable within the aperture. A first end of the spring is connected to the bracket, and a second end of the spring is connected to the spring guide. The spring guide is connected to one of the plurality of connector assemblies, such that the spring guide is movable within the aperture as the door moves between open and closed positions.

Some embodiments are directed to a vehicular seat adjustment mechanism for facilitating positional adjustments of a vehicular seat along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle. The vehicular seat adjustment mechanism includes a pair of rails that extend substantially parallel to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Each of the rails defines an opening that faces a lower surface of the vehicle. A pair of support legs are configured to be secured to a vehicular frame. Each of the support legs is secured to and supports one of the rails. A mounting plate supports the vehicular seat and is configured to be movable along the pair of rails. A pair of supports are each secured to one of the rails and configured to support the mounting plate and facilitate longitudinal movement of the mounting plate along the rails.

Vehicular seat adjustment apparatus and methods of use and manufacture thereof

A vehicular seat belt assembly includes a pair of lateral webbing strips that extend laterally across the passenger's lap, proximal ends being manually connectable and dis-connectable from each other. A vertically extending webbing strip includes a pair of upper body strips that are configured to contact opposite sides of a front of the passenger's upper body. A sensor is configured to provide data indicative of whether the proximal ends of the pair of lateral webbing strips are connected together. A harness assembly includes a harness webbing that is attached to one of the pair of lateral webbing strips, and a wire harness that is connectable to the sensor, the wire harness extending along the harness webbing.

Methods and apparatus for restraining vehicular passengers with assembly including feedback sensor

A vehicle includes a roll cage, at least one rear seat, and at least one rear seat belt assembly. Each rear seat is positioned within a rear protected area at least partially defined by the roll cage. Each rear seat belt assembly is associated with a respective one of the rear seats, and includes a retractor assembly attached to the roll cage.

A vehicle includes a frame, a utility bed, and a flexible seal. The utility bed includes a left side, a right side, a bed frame, and a forward wall supported by the bed frame. The flexible seal is attached to at least one of the bed frame and the forward wall of the utility bed. The flexible seal extends downwardly below the forward wall of the utility bed and laterally at least partially between the left side and the right side of the utility bed. When the utility bed is in the hauling position, the flexible seal contacts the frame.
