An image forming system includes a punch unit, provided in a post-processing apparatus, which includes a punch member that performs punching processing of forming a punch hole in a sheet conveyed along a conveyance path from an image forming apparatus while the punch member rotates, and a detection unit configured to detect a surface property of the sheet conveyed along a conveyance path from the image forming apparatus toward the punch unit. A control unit controls conveyance of the sheet such that the sheet is conveyed to the punch unit at a conveyance speed corresponding to the detected surface property, and controls rotation of the punch member such that the punch member performs the punching processing on the sheet conveyed from the image forming apparatus while the punch member rotates at a rotation speed corresponding to the conveyance speed.

Image forming system

A post-processing apparatus to perform a post-processing for a sheet conveyed from an image forming apparatus includes a punching unit, first and second motors, and a control unit. The punching unit includes a punch that is rotated by the first motor to punch the sheet, and a moving unit moved by the second motor to move the punch in a width direction intersecting with a sheet conveying direction. The control unit controls at least the first motor. In a first section from a first position in which the punch starts punching the sheet to a second position in which the punching ends, the control unit sets a current value for driving the first motor to a first current value. In a second section other than the first section, the control unit can set the first motor driving current value to a second current value lower than the first current value.

Post-processing apparatus

A processing apparatus processing on a sheet includes a punch unit configured to punch a sheet at a punching position while rotating, a first motor configured to drive the punch unit, a first rotary member disposed upstream of the punch unit in a conveyance direction of the sheet and configured to convey the sheet, a second motor configured to drive the first rotary member, a control unit configured to control driving of the first motor and the second motor, and a first detection unit configured to detect a surface speed of the first rotary member. The control unit is configured to adjust a rotation speed of the second motor so that a surface speed of the first rotary member obtained based on a detection result of the first detection unit substantially matches a tangential component of a rotation speed of the punch unit at the punching position.

Processing apparatus and image forming system with rotating punch that punches sheet at punching position

A sheet processing apparatus comprising: a conveying unit configured to have a roller that conveys a sheet in a conveyance direction; a first detecting device disposed downstream of the conveying unit in the conveyance direction; a second detecting device disposed downstream of the first detecting device in the conveyance direction; a boring unit configured to have a punch that performs boring in the sheet; and a control unit is used. The first detecting device and the second detecting device each detect passage of a leading edge of the sheet being conveyed. The control unit calculates an actual conveyance speed of the sheet on the basis of detection results of the first detecting device and the second detecting device, and controls rotation of the roller, on the basis of the actual conveyance speed, so that the sheet is conveyed at a predetermined target speed.

Sheet processing apparatus

A toner detection unit includes an LED and a light receiving element that outputs a current in accordance with a received light amount. A current/voltage converter circuit converts the current outputted from the light receiving element into a voltage and outputs the voltage. A voltage amplifier circuit amplifies a difference between the voltage outputted from the converter circuit and a reference voltage and outputs the amplified difference as a voltage corresponding to the received light amount. A microcomputer measures the voltage outputted from the voltage amplifier circuit by causing the LED to emit light, under a measurement condition under which the reflected light is not incident on the light receiving element through an opening formed in a housing of the toner detection unit, and adjusts the reference voltage used in the voltage amplifier circuit based on the obtained measured voltage.
