It is possible to more appropriately perform fluorescence separation. An information processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a fluorescence signal acquisition unit () that acquires a plurality of fluorescence spectra corresponding to each of a plurality of excitation lights having different wavelengths and irradiated to a fluorescence stained specimen (), the fluorescence stained specimen () being created by staining a specimen () with a fluorescence reagent (); a link unit () that generates a linked fluorescence spectrum by linking at least parts of the plurality of fluorescence spectra to each other in a wavelength direction; a separation unit () that separates the linked fluorescence spectrum into spectra for every fluorescent substance using a reference spectrum including a linked autofluorescence reference spectrum in which spectra of autofluorescent substances in the specimen are linked to each other in the wavelength direction and a linked fluorescence reference spectrum in which spectra of fluorescent substances in the fluorescence stained specimen are linked to each other in the wavelength direction; and an extraction unit () that updates the linked autofluorescence reference spectrum using the spectra for every fluorescent substance separated by the separation unit.

The flow rate of light scattering fluid is measured more easily and at a higher speed. A flow rate measuring method according to the present disclosure includes: generating two or more speckle images by continually imaging light scattering fluid to be measured, while defining time shorter than spatial correlation disappearance time corresponding to time in which spatial correlation between speckle patterns generated by the light scattering fluid disappears as exposure time, at a time interval shorter than the spatial correlation disappearance time; and calculating direction and speed of flow of the light scattering fluid from time variation of the speckle patterns between the two or more speckle images, in which the speckle images are imaged by using an imaging device mounted with an area sensor and a pixel group of a part of the area sensor or by using an imaging device mounted with a line sensor.

An imaging apparatus includes: a light source that irradiates an imaging object with coherent light with a first irradiation condition and a second irradiation condition; a speckle imaging unit that captures a first speckle image obtained from scattered light of the imaging object irradiate at the first irradiation condition, and a second speckle image obtained from scattered light of the imaging object irradiate at the second irradiation condition; and an information processing unit that separates speckle images at boundaries of average luminance difference formed in the first speckle image and the second speckle image, connecting the separaged speckle images at the boundaries, and analyzes the combined speckle combined image.

Provided is an imaging technique capable of detecting a focus even in an imaging apparatus of a speckle image. The imaging apparatus includes a coherent light source that irradiates an imaging object with coherent light, an incoherent light source that irradiates the imaging object with incoherent light, a speckle imaging unit that captures a speckle image obtained from scattered light of the imaging object irradiated with the coherent light, a non-speckle imaging unit that captures a non-speckle image obtained from reflected light of the imaging object irradiated with the incoherent light, and a focus detection unit that detects a focus of the speckle imaging unit on the basis of a focal position of the non-speckle imaging unit.

Provided is a highly accurate imaging technology that utilizes the speckle interference. The present technology provides a speckle imaging device including: an irradiation condition setting unit that sets an irradiation condition for coherent light with which an imaging object is irradiated; an imaging unit that captures scattered light obtained from the imaging object irradiated with the coherent light; an image generation unit that generates a speckle-enhanced image from a captured image captured by the imaging unit; and a leveling processing unit that generates a leveled speckle image from speckle-enhanced images corresponding to two or more different irradiation conditions.

A nucleic acid amplifier for carrying out a nucleic acid amplification reaction is disclosed. The amplifier includes a plurality of wells configured to carry out the nucleic acid amplification reaction. The amplifier also include a heating unit provided for every well. The amplifier further includes a light source for irradiating excitation light of a specified wavelength to all of the wells. A fluorescence detection unit is provided for every well.

Nucleic acid amplifier

The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for separating nucleic acids. A carrier may include a porous microbead having cation-exchangeable groups attached to the surface of the porous microbead. Capturing chains modified with positively charged functional groups and having a base sequence complementary to a target nucleic acid chain sequence are immobilized on to the surface of the porous microbead. In various embodiments, capturing chains are immobilized on to the surface of the porous microbead through an ion exchange bond or a covalent bond with the cation-exchangeable groups of the porous microbead. In some cases, the porous microbead has a number of through pores adapted to permit a solution to pass rapidly through the through pores and a number of diffusive pores adapted to permit a solute of the solution to diffuse into the diffusive pores. A solution having a target nucleic acid chain corresponding to the target nucleic acid chain sequence of the capturing chains may be passed through a channel that is packed with porous microbeads so as to result in hybridization of the capturing chain and the target nucleic acid chain. The porous microbeads may be structured such that the pressure in the channel upon passing of the solution through the channel does not build significantly.

Provided is a microbead analysis method for a microbead. The microbead is formed in a columnar shape having a top surface and a bottom surface facing each other, as placed almost in parallel, and a side surface extending therefrom, and carries an identification pattern formed on at least one of the top surface and the bottom surface and a substance immobilized on a surface thereof having affinity to an analyte substance. The method includes detecting fluorescence emitted from the microbead surface due to interaction of the analyte substance with the substance having affinity to the analyte substance from a region including a region of the top surface and the bottom surface where there is no identification pattern formed and the side surface.
