A saddle riding type vehicle having a vehicular helmet holder with an improved anti-theft function making it less easy to tamper with the helmet holder held on the vehicle body. A saddle riding type vehicle includes a vehicle body frame and a riding seat disposed upwardly of the vehicle body frame. The riding seat is mounted so as to be removable relative to the vehicle body frame. The saddle riding type vehicle has a helmet holder. The helmet holder includes a hook section disposed at a substantially central position in a vehicle width direction on the vehicle body frame with the hook section being capable of holding a helmet. A lateral masking section is provided for covering at least vehicle lateral outer sides of the hook section and an upward masking section for covering the hook section at least from above.

Saddle riding type vehicle

An intake structure for a saddle type vehicle for effectively lower the temperature of suction air includes an intake system disposed behind an engine supported on a vehicle body frame and a vehicle body cover for covering at least a side of the intake system. An inlet that is open to a side of a vehicle body on the inner side of the vehicle body cover is provided in the intake system. Further, a negative pressure formation section is provided at a position of the vehicle body cover at a substantially equal height to that of the inlet and on the rear side of the vehicle. The negative pressure formation section is configured from a depressed portion at which a vehicle body cover surface is depressed to the inner side of the vehicle body and an opening positioned in the depressed portion.

Intake structure for saddle type vehicle

A rear portion structure for a saddle vehicle includes a wide accommodation space for accommodating parts therein while improving the foot grounding property of a rider. A rear fender of a motorcycle has a bottom wall disposed on the inner side of a rear frame in the vehicle widthwise direction, and left and right side walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall. An accommodation space for accommodating a part therein is formed from the bottom wall and the left and right side walls. Left and right first bending portions which individually extend in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and at which the left and right side walls can individually be bent with respect to the bottom wall are formed between the bottom wall and the left and right side walls. The left and right side walls are inclined inwardly and upwardly along the inner side of the rear frame.

Intake device for a motorcycle

In an exhaust system for a motorcycle in which an engine main body of a multi-cylinder engine has an oil pan on a lower portion thereof, and is mounted on a vehicle body with a plurality of expansion chambers being connected to a downstream side of an assembled portion of a plurality of exhaust pipes that extend out of the respective cylinders of the engine main body, respectively. The muffler includes a first expansion chamber that is connected to the assembled portion and the other expansion chambers that are the assembled portion are disposed on one side of the oil pan. The respective exhaust pipes and expansion chamber is disposed on the other side of the oil pan with the other expansion chambers being disposed to the rear of the engine main body.

Exhaust system for motorcycle

The intake and exhaust control systems are operable in varying modes, according to the engine speed, by a single actuator. The intake control system includes an intake valve that allows a variable amount of air into an air cleaner depending on vehicle speed. The exhaust control system includes an exhaust control valve, and a primary and a secondary exhaust purifying system located downstream of the exhaust control valve. When a fuel tank is supported rotatably, one end side of the fuel tank must be fixed by a lock mechanism. Although the background art engaging structure is simple and convenient, when the lock mechanism cannot be provided due to space limitations, a rotating support structure cannot be employed. An engaging member is provided on the front portion of the fuel tank and is inserted from the rear side to be engaged with a retaining member and to be pulled rearwardly for disengagement. A fuel tank is provided at a rear end thereof with a hinge. A bolt relatively moving in a guide groove formed in a side plate of the hinge is supported on a collar fixed to a seat rail. The hinge is slideable and rotatable.

Structure for attaching motorcycle fuel tank

A motorcycle in which a rear fender for covering a rear wheel is mounted on a rear frame including a pair of right and left seat rails for supporting a rider's seat, and a battery is contained in a portion, covered with the seat, of the rear fender, includes the wiring of a wire harness without exerting any effect on the width and height of the seat. A rear fender integrally includes a pair of right and left side plates and a bottom plate for connecting lower ends of the side plates to each other, and a battery containing portion for containing a battery is formed in the rear fender in such a manner so as to be spaced inwardly from the side plates. A pair of right and left wiring grooves are formed in the rear fender at positions between the battery containing portion and the side plates in such a manner as to be covered, from above, with portions of seat rails disposed between the battery containing portion and the side plates. Wire harnesses are led from front end opening portions of wiring grooves to the outside of the rear fender through the wiring grooves.

Motorcycle

A recess is formed in a bottom plate of a fuel tank from above main pipes up to an upper position. An air cleaner is disposed within the recess. Side openings, which are open downward, are formed sideways of the recess. Furthermore, intake ducts are disposed respectively in the side openings. Since the bottom plate of the fuel tank is recessed from above the main pipes up to an upper position, an air cleaner is disposed within the recess, side openings are formed sideways of the recess so as to be open downward, and intake ducts are disposed in the said side openings, it is possible to ensure a sufficient fuel tank capacity.
