A method for generating an X-ray includes the steps of: disposing at least a target in a chamber; irradiating an electron beam onto the target from an electron beam source disposed in or outside the chamber so as to satisfy a relation of &#x3b2;&#x2266;60 degrees if an incident angle of the electron beam is defined as '&#x3b2;'; and generating and taking an X-ray out of the target so as to satisfy a relation of &#x2212;30 degrees&#x2266;&#x3b2;&#x2212;&#x3b1;&#x2266;60 degrees if an output angle of the X-ray relative to a surface of the target is defined as '&#x3b1;'.

X-ray generating method, and X-ray generating apparatus

A rotating anticathode X-ray generating apparatus which is configured such that an X-ray is generated by an irradiation of an electron beam emitted from a cathode includes a rotating anticathode with an electron beam irradiating portion to generate the X-ray through the irradiation of the electron beam so that a direction of the electron beam is set equal to a direction of a centrifugal force caused by a rotation of the rotating anticathode; and a film for covering at least the electron beam irradiating portion so as to prevent an evaporation of a material making the rotating anticathode.

Rotating anticathode X-ray generating apparatus and X-ray generating method

An energy beam is irradiated onto a rotating anticathode so as to heat a portion irradiated by the energy beam under the condition that a vapor pressure at equilibrium state of the portion is set to 0.1 Torr or more, thereby generating an X-ray. The portion irradiated by the energy beam is kept at the rotating anticathode by a centrifugal force to the portion it a direction outward from a surface of the portion.

An energy beam is irradiated onto a target from an energy beam source, thereby generating an X-ray with an irradiating area to be irradiated onto an object. Then, the X-ray is introduced into a spectrometer, thereby generating an X-ray with parallelism through the selection of wavelength and wavelength range.

X-ray generating method and x-ray generating apparatus

An anticathode is repeatedly moved along a rotating axis of the anticathode while the anticathode is rotated around the rotating axis. Then, energy beams are irradiated onto a surface portion of the anticathode which is located against a centrifugal force generated from the rotation of the anticathode to partially melt the surface portion through the heating said surface portion near the melting point of the anticathode or over the melting point of the anticathode, thereby generating an X-ray from the rotating anticathode.

X-ray generating method and X-ray generating apparatus

A rotation anticathode-X ray generating equipment includes a rotation anticathode and a cathode. The electron beam for the anticathode from the cathode is irradiated to the area of the surface of the anticathode on which a centrifugal force acts toward the inner side of the surface of the anticathode from the outer side thereof when the anticathode rotates. As a result, a X ray is generated in very high flux.

Rotation anticathode-X ray generating equipment

A base member obtained by cutting a cylindrical body having a center axial line at a maximum asymmetric angle &agr;,with respect to a plane orthogonal to the center axial line of cylindrical body is prepared. Next, the thus obtained ellipsoidal asymmetric cut surface of the base member is shaped along a peripheral surface of an imaginary cylindrical body having a radius R,, into an asymmetric cut curved-surface. Then, a monochromator Si crystal is bonded to the asymmetric cut curved-surface of the base member. Both the asymmetric angle and the radius of curvature for a desired wavelength within a wide wavelength range can be simultaneously tuned only by the &phgr;-axis rotation.
