A brake pad state estimation device estimates a brake pad state including at least one of a wear volume and a temperature of a brake pad of a vehicle. The brake pad state estimation device performs: a brake pad state calculation process calculating the brake pad state based on sensor detection information during braking; and an information output process storing the brake pad state information in a storage and/or transmitting the brake pad state information to the outside. The brake pad state estimation device variably sets a processing frequency of at least one of the brake pad state calculation process and the information output process. The processing frequency when a vehicle speed is lower is lower than the processing frequency when the vehicle speed is higher, or the processing frequency when a brake pressure is lower is lower than the processing frequency when the brake pressure is higher.

Brake pad state estimation device and brake pad state estimation method

A wear volume estimation device estimates a wear volume of a brake pad of a vehicle. A wear volume function expresses the wear volume as a function of a vehicle speed, a brake pressure, and a brake duration. The wear volume estimation device calculates the wear volume by using the wear volume function. Moreover, the wear volume estimation device estimates a temperature of a contact surface of the brake pad that comes in contact with a brake rotor, and updates temperature history information indicating at least a temperature history of the contact surface based on the temperature of the contact surface. The wear volume estimation device variably sets the wear volume function according to the temperature history of the contact surface indicated by the temperature history information acquired at a time of previous braking.

Wear volume estimation device, wear volume estimation method, and wear volume estimation program

A brake pad state estimation device estimates a brake pad state including at least one of a wear volume and a temperature of a brake pad of a vehicle. The brake pad state estimation device acquires sensor detection information including a vehicle speed and a brake pressure, and calculates the brake pad state based on the sensor detection information during braking of the vehicle. The brake pad state estimation device variably sets a sampling period for acquiring the sensor detection information from a sensor according to a driving environment for the vehicle. The sampling period in a case where the wear volume or the temperature of the brake pad is expected to be lower is set to be longer than the sampling period in a case where the wear volume or the temperature of the brake pad is expected to be higher.

The vehicle notification apparatus comprises: a brake device configured to press a frictional member against a rotating member; a wheel rotational speed sensor configured to generate a detection signal every time the wheel rotates by a predetermined angle; a notification execution device; and a control unit configured to obtain a wheel rotational speed based on the detection signal. The control unit is configured to: determine that a specific variation in the wheel rotational speed has occurred when the wheel rotational speed is determined to satisfy a predetermined specific variation occurrence condition; obtain, as a specific variation rotational angle position, a rotational position of when the specific variation has occurred based on the detection signal; specify a factor that has actually caused the specific variation based on the specific variation rotational angle position; and let the notification execution device provide information regarding the specified factor.

A wheel cover includes: a cover body having an engagement hole and configured to cover a design face of a wheel; and a cover fastener that is inserted through the engagement hole. A primary attachment member of the cover fastener includes: a supporter that supports a periphery of the engagement hole; a cylindrical portion that is inserted in a hub hole formed in the wheel; a coupler that couples the supporter and the cylindrical portion; and a hook extending from the cylindrical portion to an outer circumferential side of the cylindrical portion, the hook being contactable with an inner circumferential portion of the hub hole at a position spaced apart from an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion.
