Provided is a turbo compressor that includes: a compressor unit compressing a gas; a motor driving the compressor unit; and a motor casing accommodating the motor. In the turbo compressor, the motor casing includes: a body portion which is molded in a cylindrical shape; an annular diameter reduced portion which is connected to at least one end portion of the body portion in the rotation axis direction of the motor and of which the diameter is reduced as it moves away from the body portion; and a flat portion which is connected to the central end portion of the diameter reduced portion and is molded in a planar shape.

Provided is a drive shaft structure including: a drive shaft which transmits the drive force; and a seal member which is provided to come into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft. In the drive shaft structure, the drive shaft includes a second surface located closer to the inner side of the radial direction than the outer peripheral surface, and the second surface includes an index mark used to confirm information on the rotation of the drive shaft or information on the displacement thereof in the axial direction.

A turbo compressor to suction and compress gas includes a housing including a flow passageway through which gas flows, an impeller disposed inside the flow passageway, the impeller providing suction for the gas by being rotationally driven, a liquid discharge port provided in the flow passageway on the upstream side of the impeller, the liquid discharge port discharging, from the flow passageway, any liquid produced as the gas liquefies when the turbo compressor is stopped, a liquid discharge pipe connected to the liquid discharge port, an electromagnetic valve connected to the liquid discharge pipe, and a controller configured to open the electromagnetic valve before the impeller is rotationally driven. A refrigerator includes the turbo compressor, wherein the turbo compressor compresses refrigerant gas.

A turbo compressor includes: multiple stages of compression devices arranged in series with respect to a gas passage, each of the compression devices including an impeller that rotates about an axis; an oil tank capable of supplying lubricating oil to a sliding portion of the compression devices; a partitioned intermediate space formed to communicate with the gas passage on an upstream side of the compression devices via gaps between the partitioned intermediate space and the gas passage; and a pressure equalizer provided to continuously connect the partitioned intermediate space and the oil tank.

An inlet guide vane is turnably installed about an axis line at a suction port into which a fluid is drawn by rotation of an impeller in order to adjust a suction amount and flow direction of the fluid, the inlet guide vane, and includes: a shaft that is turnably supported by inserting a round bar-shaped shaft main body portion thereof in a bearing sleeve; and a plate-shaped vane main body that is joined with the shaft and projects from an inner periphery surface of the suction port to a central portion of the suction port, the shaft including a flange portion that is provided at a distal end side in a direction of the axis line to join with the vane main body and that extends to an outside in a direction perpendicular to the axis line so as to be extended outward in a radial direction of the bearing sleeve.

Inlet guide vane, compressor and refrigerator

An inlet guide vane is installed at a suction port into which a fluid is sucked by the rotation of an impeller so as to be rotatable about an axis, and is comprised of a rod-like shaft supported by an inner peripheral surface of the suction port so as to be rotatable about the axis, and a plate-like vane body connected to the shaft and provided so as to protrude from the inner peripheral surface of the suction port. The vane body includes a tapered portion formed such that both side surfaces approach each other toward an outer edge of the vane body in its width direction and an outer edge thereof at a tip in the direction of the axis, and a parallel portion arranged on the axis and formed such that both the side surfaces are parallel to each other along the direction of the axis.
