Provided is a reference point indicating apparatus comprising at least two link plates, a slide slit formed in each link plate, an indicator configured to be slidable along each slide slit and to be provided at an intersection of a center line of each slide slit, and at least three leg portions configured to be provided on the same circumference centered on the indicator, wherein the indicator is configured to be located on an intersection of a perpendicular bisector of each straight line connecting centers of leg portions adjacent to each other, the leg portions are configured to be contactable with an objectby sliding the indicator, the indicator is configured to indicate a reference point of the object in a state where each leg portion is in contact with the object.

The invention provides a laser scanner, which comprises a light source unit, a light receiving unit, a distance measuring unit, an angle measuring unit, a telescope unit capable of rotating in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, a rotation driving unit, a directional angle detector, and a control arithmetic unit, wherein the light source unit is an MOPA type and has an oscillator control circuit, a main oscillator, and an optical amplifier, wherein the oscillator control circuit has a repetition frequency setting component, a pulse peak output setting component, a pulse width setting component and an amplification factor calculating component and oscillates the main oscillator corresponding to a measured distance, and wherein the amplification factor calculating component calculates an amplification factor based on a repetition frequency, a pulse peak output, and a pulse width and amplifies the optical amplifier based on a calculated amplification factor.

There is provided a surveying instrument including a monopod which is installed on a reference point, a surveying instrument main body which is provided at a known distance from a lower end of the monopod and a known angle with respect to an axis of the monopod, two auxiliary legs which extend downward from a middle portion of the monopod at a predetermined angle, and a lower image pickup module which is provided at a known position with respect to the surveying instrument main body, wherein the surveying instrument main body comprises a measuring unit, a measuring direction image pickup module, and an arithmetic control module, wherein the surveying instrument main body is supported by three points by the monopod and the auxiliary legs, and a positional change or a rotational change of the surveying instrument main body is calculated based on a change of the lower image.

A laser oscillation device comprises a light emitting unit for projecting a pump laser beam, a laser medium for absorbing the pump laser beam and for emitting a spontaneous emission light, a saturable absorber for absorbing the spontaneous emission light and for emitting a pulsed light, and a holder for holding the laser medium in a close contact state, wherein a portion of the holder as appressed against at least one surface of the laser medium is made of a metal and the pump laser beam is projected to an edge portion of the laser medium as appressed against the holder.
