An electronic device includes a housing and a circuit board contained in the housing. The housing includes a main wall, a side wall, a vertical wall, a first rib, and a second rib. The side wall is integrally formed with the main wall. The vertical wall is integrally formed with the main wall and faces to the side wall. The first rib is integrally formed with the side wall and the main wall. The first rib extends from the side wall toward the vertical wall. The first rib has a first end portion separated from the vertical wall. The second rib is integrally formed with the vertical wall and the main wall. The second rib extends from the vertical wall toward the side wall. The second rib has a second end portion separated from the side wall. The second rib faces to the first end.

An electronic apparatus includes a cover, a rib, an elastic member, and a mask. A non-display surface of a display device is covered with the cover. The cover has a bottom wall and an side wall. The rib is disposed between a side portion of the display device and the side wall of the cover so as to be located in a position separate from the side wall. The rib rise out of the bottom wall of the cover. The elastic members is attached to at least one of an inner surface of the bottom wall and an inner surface of the rib facing the side portion of the display device. The elastic members retain the display device. The mask is fixed to the cover while exposing a display surface of the display device.

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a conductive layer provided on an outer surface of a housing, a conductive member provided inside the housing, and a connecting component attached to the housing. The housing is provided with a through hole which causes the inside of the housing to communicate with the outside. The connecting component has conductivity, and is provided with a major diameter section and a minor diameter section. The major diameter section is formed larger than the through hole, is opposed to the conductive layer from outside the housing, and is electrically connected to the conductive layer. The minor diameter section is formed smaller than the through hole, is inserted in the through hole to reach the inside of the housing, and is electrically connected to the conductive member.

A mobile electronic appliance comprises a substantially box-shaped first casing having a display section housed therein and a substantially box-shaped second casing having an electronic unit housed therein. The first casing is folded such that the folded first casing is disposed to cover the upper surface of the second casing. Swollen portions each having a void space included therein are formed in the four corner portions of the second casing. The swollen portions expanded outward are formed contiguous to side portions with sloped portions interposed therebetween. The distance between the swollen portion and the side portion is determined not to be smaller than the braking distance that is determined from a prescribed dropping height.
