A biological information displaying apparatus according to an embodiment includes a picture obtaining apparatus and a processor. The picture obtaining apparatus obtains a picture signal of a predetermined site of a subject as a moving image. The processor generates a hue moving image by extracting a luminance or an image-based photoplethysmogram (iPPG) related to a pulse wave for each pixel of the moving image and assigning a hue in accordance with a value of luminance information or iPPG information. The processor displays the generated hue moving image such that the hue moving image is superimposed on an image of the subject.

A biological information measuring apparatus according to an embodiment includes a calculating unit and a measuring unit. The calculating unit is configured to calculate information related to a pulse wave of a subject, on the basis of luminance information of a picture signal of the subject. The present invention provides a pulse wave velocity measurement method and system as well as an imaging device available for everyday use by general users at low cost with measurement accuracy less affected by posture or the like. The present invention simultaneously images different parts of a human body in a non-contact state by a single visible light camera and acquires continuous time series image data. Then, the present invention detects each pulse wave from the image data in the different parts of the human body based on a temporal change in pixel value of the different parts of the human body, and then calculates a pulse wave velocity of the human body based on a time difference between the pulse waves in the different parts of the human body.
