This relay unit includes: a first bus bar; a relay electrically connected to the first bus bar; and an apparatus cover for covering the first bus bar and the relay. The apparatus cover includes: an upper member in a box shape having a covered upper end, the upper member having an opening formed in a lower end; and a lower member bonded to the upper member such that the opening of the upper member is covered with the lower member. The lower member is formed of a resin having heat conductivity that is higher than that of the upper member. The first bus bar is connected to the lower member via a first inner heat conductive sheet such that heat can be transferred to the lower member, said first inner heat conductive sheet being disposed between the first bus bar and the lower member.

Relay unit

A cooling system includes a cooling fan that blows cooled air to a main battery and a temperature sensor. When the temperature of the main battery is equal to or higher than a first predetermined temperature after start up of an electric drive vehicle, the cooling fan is driven with a constant command value for a predetermined time period and detection process of abnormal condition is performed for detecting presence or absence of abnormal condition of the cooling fan based on an actual rotation speed of the cooling fan. When the start up of the electric drive vehicle is based on an external charging operation of the secondary battery, driving of the cooling fan with the constant command value is inhibited. This structure ensures sufficient opportunities for detecting presence or absence of abnormal condition of the cooling fan.

Cooling system for on-vehicle secondary battery

A connector assembly is disclosed including a first connector and a second connector matable with the first connector. The first connector has a first housing, a first power terminal attached, and a first signal terminal. The second connector has a lever attached to a moving housing, the lever moving the moving housing between a mating released position, an intermediate position, and a mating completed position, a second housing movably disposed within the moving housing, a second power terminal disposed in the second housing and contacting the first power terminal in the intermediate position, a second signal terminal attached to the moving housing and contacting the first signal terminal at a position between the intermediate position and the mating completed position, and a separating protrusion disposed on the moving housing preventing the second power terminal from contacting the first power terminal in the mating released position.
