A protective measure against rainfalls or ultraviolet rays is applied to planar display devices which comprise a large-sized display apparatus thus allowing display modules which include display devices to be used outdoors and, at the same time, the structure of a frame is simplified thus realizing the reduction of weight, thickness and a manufacturing cost of the large-sized display apparatus. A tiling of multiple display panels having reduced seam widths (gap) therebetween using a plurality of single edge connect display panels, wherein for each display panel: interconnect lines in the lateral direction are formed on a front plate; input portions of the interconnect lines are routed on an area where a sealing portion is formed and are extended outwardly from the bottom edge of the display panel; the area where the sealing portion is formed is a non-display area of the display panel on the front plate that is bonded to a rear plate with a seal material; and the input portions routed the bottom side of the front plate are extended outwardly from the bottom edge of the rear plate. An apparatus and a method for acoustic wave measurement according to the present invention are characterized by oscillating a magnetostrictive vibrator with a frequency to emit an acoustic wave to an object to be measured, calculating the amplitude of a signal received by a wave receiver, and repeating the previous steps throughout a range of different frequencies to detect the resonance frequency. The amplitude of the received signal is calculated from values of the signal sampled at an interval of 1/4 of one cycle of the emitted frequency. This reduces the time of the measurement of a thickness a presence of flaws, a presence of impurities and minimizes noises during the measurement.

Method and apparatus for acoustic wave measurement

A demodulating method wherein the signal can be demodulated accurately even if the S/N ratio is lower by calculating an amplitude peak value by a specific formula from two values of an amplitude of an acoustic signal corresponding to a phase difference of 90 degrees at a carrier frequency transmitted by an acoustic signal transmitter, setting a threshold level preliminarily for the amplitude peak value, and demodulating the amplitude peak value by binarization on the basis of the threshold level, and a demodulating circuit and a demodulating apparatus used in the execution thereof. A vibration exciter machine has magneto striction elements (5,6) supported by a driven pile (2), for providing a vibration of up and down direction to the driven pile (2), and a drive circuit (D1) for controlling expansion and contraction movement of the magneto striction elements (5,6) by changing a supply time period of a current supplied to the magneto striction elements (5,6). By controlling of the drive circuit (D1) the supply time period of the current which flows in the magneto striction elements (5,6) is changed to control the expansion and contraction movement of the elements (5,7). Thereby a horizontal vibration component can be eliminated and only vertical vibration component can be transmitted to the driven pile material (2).

A non-destructive examination device has an excitation current generation device for supplying an excitation current based on a control signal from a control device, a vibration excitor device for generating an elastic wave in accordance with athe excitation current and for vibrating an examination target to be examined by using the elastic wave; a response detection device (an acceleration sensor) for detecting a response of the vibration of the examination target caused by the elastic wave and for processing the response data in order to select desired examination information. It can be acceptable to incorporate a plurality of the vibration excitor devices on the examination target in the non-destructive examination device.

An analog input apparatus comprises bridge measuring devices 11 and 31 connected to a bipolar voltage power supply 5, analog multiplexers 18, 19, 38, and 39 responsive to an output level of an oscillator 4B for switching a polarity and outputting two outputs of each of the bridge measuring devices 11 and 31, amplifiers 12 and 32 for amplifying bipolar outputs provided through the analog multiplexers 18, 19, 38, and 39, and an analog-to-digital converter 2 for converting outputs of the amplifiers 12 and 32 into digital form and outputting the resultant digital values. An analog input method comprises the steps of correcting a measured value with the digital value output when voltage at either middle point of a bridge circuit is fed into both input terminals of a differential analog amplifier or feeding two middle-point voltages of a bridge circuit into input terminal of an analog amplifier in order and providing a measured value based on the difference between the digital values output from the analog amplifier.

An analog input method comprises the steps of correcting a measured value with the digital value output when voltage at either middle point of a bridge circuit is fed into both input terminals of a differential analog amplifier or feeding two middle-point voltages of a bridge circuit into input terminal of an analog amplifier in order and providing a measured value based on the difference between the digital values output from the analog amplifier.

Disclosed herein is a sequence controller capable of executing programmable sequence operations written in its sequence table. The sequence table comprises a group of input condition collecting instructions, a group of branch condition collecting instructions, a table instruction and a group of input instructions, and has an accumulator for combining such instructions organically and selectively to deal with various sequence operation conditions. Thus it is possible to provide complicated control operations by use of the sequence table. The sequence table also contains a step number storing section which stores the original step number upon transition from one step to another, and a step return performing portion. When a predetermined branch condition is met, the step return performing portion initiates a return to the step stored in the section or to the step next thereto. Thus the error-handling steps are shared among different processes, and the total number of steps in the sequence table is reduced accordingly.

Sequence controller

A display and drawing control system, having a display and drawing control unit which produces screen data including characters and images and causes the screen data to be stored in a frame memory. The display and drawing control unit also operates on a display unit to display the screen data in the frame memory under control of a central processing unit. The system further includes an auxiliary memory in addition to the frame memory. The display and drawing control unit suspends the creation of screen data in the frame memory and stores other screen data in the auxiliary memory under control of the central processing unit. The system is further provided with a print data interface circuit which directly sends screen data from the auxiliary memory to a printer, thereby enhancing the operational efficiency of the system.

A data transmission apparatus has a data transceiver which transmits data for one among a number of stations, to all of a number of output terminals, and which receives at one of its input terminals data sent by any one of the other stations, fetches the data into its own apparatus, and at the same time, transfers the receiving data to output terminals for all stations except the station which has sent the data, thereby enabling communication via a plurality of different paths and not making communication impossible even if disconnection is present in a transmission path.
