An alert control apparatus that notifies a driver in advance of a transfer of control relating to a driving operation from an automatic driving function to the driver by controlling an alert device mounted on a vehicle, which is equipped with the automatic driving function, includes: an estimator that estimates an occurrence of a change execution situation that requires a lane change under a condition in which the driving operation of the vehicle is controlled by the automatic driving function; a determiner that determines a level of difficulty of lane change control based on a plurality of travel environment factors in the change execution situation; and a notification device that notifies the driver of a possibility of the transfer of the control together with a reason of the transfer of the control with a notification mode corresponding to the level using the alert device.

An automatic driving proposal device or an automatic driving proposal method is used for a vehicle that selects either a state of an automatic driving or a state of a manual driving by an occupant. A vehicle display control device, which controls a display of sensor information on a display unit corresponding to each external sensors, includes an opening detection unit, an image storage unit, and an opening control unit. The vehicle is equipped with the display unit and the external sensors detecting outside obstacles. The opening detection unit detects an opening command made by a user to the vehicle. The image storage unit stores a vehicle image indicating the vehicle and area images indicating detection areas of the sensors. The obstacle is detectable within the detection areas. In response to a detection of the opening command by the opening detection unit, the opening control unit reads the vehicle image and each area image from the image storage unit, and displays the readout images on the display unit as the sensor information during an opening period.

An in-vehicle equipment control device includes a force sense imparting type input device mounted on a steering of a vehicle, for remotely operating an in-vehicle equipment mounted on the vehicle according to a predetermined operation route while imparting a force sense, a storage unit for storing an operation route data to conduct an input operation of the force sense imparting type input device with a predetermined operation route, and a control unit for conducting an arithmetic process to transform the predetermined operation route of the force sense imparting type input device based on a rotation angle detection signal which is output in accordance with the rotation of the steering of the vehicle and the operation route data stored in the storage unit, to impart the force sense to the force sense imparting type input device based on a result of the arithmetic process.

In-vehicle equipment control device

An on-vehicle manipulating system includes a manipulating device having a housing, a first side pushbutton switch disposed at one side of the housing, a second side pushbutton switch disposed at the other side of the housing and an additional switch disposed at a prescribed portion of the housing and a control unit for setting a first function to one of the first and second pushbutton switches and a second function to the other pushbutton switch. In this manipulating system, the control unit changes the function of the first or second side pushbutton switch from the first function such as an ENTER key to the second function, such as a RETURN key, and the function of the other pushbutton switch, such as a MENU key, from the second function to the first function when one of the pushbutton switches being set to change the function is operated subsequent to the other pushbutton switch that has been set the second function is operated in a prescribed period after the additional switch is operated.

On-vehicle manipulating system

A pressurizing piston has a head section, which contacts an axial end face of a piezoelectric actuator to receive displacement of the actuator, and a piston wall section, which is formed in a cylindrical shape and can move in an axial direction in response to the movement of the head section. The head section and the piston wall section are combined such that relative displacement therebetween is possible in a radial direction. An outer sleeve slidably holding an outer periphery of the piston wall section restricts radial movement of the head section. When an expansion-contraction direction of the actuator inclines with respect to the axial direction, inclination of the piston wall section is inhibited by a radial deviation caused between the head section and the piston wall section. Thus, pinching of the piston wall section to the outer sleeve is inhibited.

Injector

A fuel injection valve includes a main body having a nozzle hole and a compression chamber. The main body accommodates a compression unit for pressurizing fuel accumulated in the compression chamber. The fuel injection valve further includes a valve element being axially movable in the main body. The valve element includes a valve portion and a pressure-receiving portion. The valve portion is movable in an opening direction to open the nozzle hole in response to pressure of fuel being pressurized by the compression unit and applied to the pressure-receiving portion. A regulating unit is provided in the compression chamber for regulating movement of the valve element with respect to the opening direction.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve for an engine includes a nozzle located in the vicinity of a cylinder head of the engine. The nozzle has nozzle holes each being opposed to an in-cylinder space defined in a cylinder of the engine. Each nozzle hole has an imaginary injection line that extends from each nozzle hole into the in-cylinder space. The imaginary injection line is directed toward either an upper surface of the piston or the wall surface of the cylinder. The in-cylinder space includes divided spaces each including the nozzle and at least one imaginary injection line. The divided spaces include a piston-side divided space and a head-side divided space. The head-side divided space contains fuel and air mixed at an air fuel ratio that is greater than an air fuel ratio of fuel and air in the piston-side divided space.
