A fixing device comprising: an endless belt; a roller being in contact with an outer surface of the endless belt; a nip plate disposed in the endless belt; a supporting member disposed in the endless belt; a spring member disposed in the endless belt between the nip plate and the supporting member, the spring member urged in a first direction away from the nip plate toward the supporting member; and a sliding sheet having a first surface and a second surface. The sliding sheet is nipped with the endless belt between the nip plate and the roller, the first surface is in contact with an inner surface of the endless belt and the second surface is in contact with the nip plate. The sliding sheet is fastened to a facing surface of the spring member that is facing toward the supporting member, and the second surface contacts the spring member.

Fixing device

A fixing device includes: a heat unit extending in an axial direction and comprising a heater, the heat unit having a central region in the axial direction and an end region outside of the central region; an opponent member to face the heat unit; and a cover positioned opposite to the opponent member with respect to the heat unit. The cover has: a central cover portion positioned to face the central region and spaced away from the central region by a reference distance; and a side cover portion positioned to face the end region and movable between a first position providing a first distance from the heat unit and a second position providing a second distance from the heat unit, the first distance being not more than the reference distance, and the second distance being greater than the reference distance.

A developer container for an image forming apparatus includes a housing configured to store developer, a developer conveying member disposed inside the housing and configured to rotate to convey the developer stored in the housing. The developer conveying member includes a rotary shaft, a rotary base member and a sheet-like main body. The main body has a base end portion fixed to the rotary base member and a free end portion configured to be pressed into contact with an inner wall of the housing. The rotary base member includes an urging member configured to urge the main body from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a direction of rotation thereof.

The exhaust fan is disposed at a fixing-unit side of the process unit and is disposed lower than both the charger and the heat source such that air entering through the ejection port from outside the image forming apparatus flows through the fixing unit and is discharged by the exhaust fan.
