In general, according to one embodiment, there is provided an abnormality detection system of a rotary electrical machine. The system includes a plurality of magnetic flux sensors disposed at intervals on a back of a stator core in a circumferential direction or an axial direction, and configured to detect a magnetic flux, and an abnormality detection apparatus configured to detect an abnormality of the stator core from a predetermined event that appears in a composite signal or a differential signal obtained from signals respectively output from at least two magnetic flux sensors of the plurality of magnetic flux sensors.

According to one embodiment, a rotor includes a shaft and a rotor core fixed to the shaft. A plurality of flux barriers are formed at the rotor core. Each of the flux barriers is formed with a plurality of bridges, and one or more barrier regions that have a lower permeability than a portion other than each of the flux bathers in the rotor core between the plurality of bridges. A permanent magnet is provided in at least one of the barrier regions. A magnetizing direction of the permanent magnet is directed in a direction that intersects a longitudinal direction of the flux barrier. According to one embodiment, an induction motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has a stator coil disposed at a stator core having a plurality of stator slots. The rotor has a rotor core rotatably provided with respect to the stator. The rotor core includes a plurality of rotor teeth and a rotor slot formed between the plurality of rotor teeth and having a rotor conductor disposed therein. The rotor teeth include a teeth main body and a flange. The teeth main body extends in a radial direction of the rotor core. The flange extends in a rotating direction of the rotor core from a distal end of the teeth main body. Then, a recessed surface is formed on at least part of an outer circumferential surface of a radial outer side in the flange.

A synchronous reluctance rotating electric machine of an embodiment has a rotor iron core provided with a plurality of air gap layers, and a stator. The bridges of the air gaps adjacent to each other are disposed on different straight lines.

According to one embodiment, a rotor is configured by a rotor core and magnetic poles. Two or more types of permanent magnets are used such that each product of coercivity and thickness in the magnetization direction becomes different. A stator is located outside the rotor with air gap therebetween and configured by an armature core winding. At least one permanent magnet is magnetized by a magnetic field by a current of the armature winding to change a magnetic flux content thereof irreversibly. A short circuited coil is provided to surround a magnetic path portion of the other permanent magnet excluding the magnet changed irreversibly and a portion adjacent to the other permanent magnet where the magnetic flux leaks. A short-circuit current is generated in the short circuited coil by the magnetic flux generated by conducting a magnetization current to the winding. A magnetic field is generated by the short-circuit current.
