A high-frequency module includes a diplexer, first and second high-frequency switches, a SAW duplexer, first and second LC filters functioning as first and second filters, and an SAW filter functioning as a third filter, the module defines a unit that integrates front-end sections of first to third communication systems, a digital cellular system (1.8 GHz band), a personal communication service (1.9 GHz band) and a global system for mobile communications (900 MHz band).

High-frequency module and mobile communication apparatus using the same

An RF module includes a multi-layered substrate. A base-band IC, a memory IC, a quartz oscillator and surface-mount components are mounted on the upper surface of the multi-layered substrate. A metallic cap also is attached to the upper surface of the multi-layered substrate. A cavity is formed in the lower surface of the multi-layered substrate substantially at the center thereof. A first RF-IC and a second RF-IC are embedded in the cavity. Wiring patterns for providing connections between the base-band IC and the memory IC, through-holes, RF passive components, and the shield ground electrode pattern are disposed inside of the multi-layered substrate.

RF module

The invention provides a composite high frequency component constituting a part of a microwave circuit having plural signal paths corresponding to their respective frequencies, comprising: a diplexer for coupling transmitting signals from the plural signal paths for transmission and distributing receiving signals into said plural signal paths for reception; plural high frequency switches for separating the plural signal paths into a transmission section and a reception section, respectively; plural filters introduced in the signal paths; said diplexer, said high frequency switch, and said filters being integrated into a ceramic multi-layer substrate formed by lamination of plural ceramic sheet layers. According to the above described composite high frequency component, the diplexer, the high frequency switches, and the filters which constitute the composite high frequency component are integrated into the ceramic multi-layer substrate formed by lamination of plural ceramic sheet layers. Thus, the matching and adjustment between the diplexer and the high frequency switches can be easily performed. It is unnecessary to provide a matching circuit for matching and adjusting the diplexer and the high frequency switches, and moreover, the high frequency switches and the filters.

Composite high frequency component and mobile communication device including the same

A small-sized low-cost multiplexer with a low insertion loss includes a first filter defining a lowpass filter that passes a signal in a first frequency band and attenuates a signal in second and third frequency bands, a second filter including a SAW filter and defining a bandpass filter that passes a signal in the second frequency band and attenuates a signal in the first and third frequency bands, and a third filter defining a highpass filter that passes a signal in the third frequency band and attenuates a signal in the first and second frequency bands. One of two ports of each of the first, second, and third filters are connected in common with a common port.

A high frequency switching component for being connected to a transmission circuit, a reception circuit, and an antenna to be used for switching to either a state in which the transmission circuit is connected to the antenna, or a state in which the reception circuit is connected to the antenna, comprising: a multilayer circuit board, on which there is formed a circuit including: a transmission circuit terminal to be connected to the transmission circuit; a reception circuit terminal to be connected to the reception circuit; an antenna terminal to be connected to be the antenna; a ground terminal; a first diode whose anode is connected to the transmission circuit terminal and the cathode thereof is connected to the antenna terminal; a second diode whose anode is connected to the reception circuit terminal and the cathode thereof is connected to the ground terminal; a signal line for connecting the transmission circuit terminal, the reception circuit terminal, and the antenna terminal via the first diode; and an inductor or an LC filter disposed between the signal line and the ground terminal to reduce noise on the signal line; in which the transmission circuit terminal, the reception circuit terminal, the antenna terminal, the ground terminal, the first diode, and the second diode are disposed on a surface of the multilayer circuit board; at least a part of the signal line being disposed inside the multilayer circuit board; and the inductor being disposed either inside or on the surface of the multilayer circuit board.

High frequency switching component with electrostatic surge elimination

A mobile communication device, preferably in the form of a dual-band cellular phone, includes two communications systems supporting different frequency bands, such as DCS in the 1.8 GHz band and GSM in the 900 MHz band. The mobile communication device includes an antenna, a high-frequency composite unit, DCS and GSM transmitters, and DCS and GSM receivers. The high-frequency composite unit contains a diplexer, DCS and GSM high-frequency switches, DCS and GSM high-frequency filters or notch filters, and a directional coupler.

High frequency switching component

A compact frequency multiplier can perform high-degree frequency multiplication and can be incorporated in a wireless device. The frequency multiplier includes an input terminal for inputting an input signal, a first resonant circuit resonating with the frequency &ohgr; of the input signal, a second resonant circuit and an idler circuit, which resonate with the frequency n&middot;&ohgr; that is, n times the frequency of the input signal, a variable reactor such as a varactor diode, coupling-adjusting capacitors, a bias resistor, and an output terminal for outputting multiplied output signals. In one embodiment, the frequency multiplier is a current-excitation type. The first resonant circuit and the second resonant circuit, each of which is constituted of an LC series resonant circuit, are connected in series between the input terminal and the output terminal. In addition, a parallel circuit constituted of the idler circuit and the varactor diode is connected to a connection point between the first and second resonant circuits and the input terminal and the output terminal.

Frequency multiplier and wireless device incorporating same

A transmission output control device comprising: a directional coupler which branches a part of an amplified transmission signal from a high output amplifier; and a detector which detects a part of said branched transmission signal; wherein the directional coupler and the detector are integrated in a laminated body in which a plurality of dielectric layers are laminated.

The high frequency filters are formed by third inductors and third capacitors.
