A controller acquires communication destination information including at least a first external apparatus connected via a first communication interface or a second external apparatus connected via a second communication interface. The controller performs initialization of the first communication interface and the second communication interface. The initialization includes: in response to determining that an external apparatus indicated by the communication destination information is the first external apparatus, after completing initialization of the first communication interface, shifting to a communication waiting state in which transmission and reception of data is acceptable; and in response to determining that the external apparatus indicated by the communication destination information is the second external apparatus, shifting to the communication waiting state after completing initialization of the second communication interface. The controller performs communication with at least the first external apparatus or the second external apparatus. The communication includes transmission and reception of the data.

Communication apparatus and storage medium storing program

A server provides converted data to an external apparatus in response to plural request commands. The converted data is generated by converting target data and is divided to plural partial data to be stored in an external storage device. The server acquires one or more untransmitted partial data as a portion of the plural partial data from the external storage device each time when one request command is received, and writes the acquired one or more untransmitted partial data in an internal storage device of the server. The server transmits at least a portion of the one or more untransmitted partial data written in the internal storage device, to the external apparatus, each time when one request command of the plurality of request commands is received.

A terminal device includes a communication unit, and a first identifying unit. The communication unit is configured to wirelessly communicate with a plurality of access points, receive an output signal from each of the plurality of access points, and send an instruction to an image processing device through one of the plurality of access points. The first identifying unit is configured to identify, from among the plurality of access points, at least one accessible access point from which the communication unit is currently capable of receiving the outputted signal, and identify a target access point through which the communication unit most recently has sent the instruction to the image processing device from among the at least one accessible access point. The communication unit connects to the target access point.

A printer includes: a generation unit sequentially converting each of partial original data of a plurality of pages included in original data designated as a print target by a specific user into each of partial print data in a memory; a supply unit sequentially supplying each of the partial print data to a print execution unit; and a confirmation unit, whenever the partial print data of one page is generated, confirming whether the specific user is present around the printer. When it is not confirmed that the specific user is present around the printer when first partial print data of one page is generated, the supply unit does not supply the first partial print data to the print execution unit, and the generation unit starts to generate second partial print data of another page in the memory.

In a file-generating device, the image acquiring unit is configured to acquire image data indicating an original image. The generating unit is configured to generate a document file having no data to specify a page, by using the image data. The printer data acquiring unit is configured to acquire a prescribed size of a sheet that is used by a target printer and a first margin corresponding to the prescribed size of the sheet. The target printer is to print the original image on a recording sheet based on the document file. The printable region determining unit is configured to determine a printable region within which the target printer is configured to print an image on the sheet, based on the prescribed size of the sheet and the first margin. The generating unit generates the document file such that the original image is positioned within the printable region.

File-generating device

A control device may execute a first type of transformation process for each of a plurality of partial target data sequentially, so as to try to generate each of a plurality of partial print data sequentially. The control device may send second partial target data to a server via a network, in a first case where the first type of transformation process for the second partial target data does not succeed after the first type of transformation process for first partial target data succeeded and first partial print data was generated. The control device may receive first transformed data from the server via the network in the first case. The control device may supply second partial print data obtained by using the first transformed data to a print execution unit in the first case.

The first file includes first printing data and first additional information. The second file includes second printing data second additional information. An information processing device includes an acquiring unit, an image page selecting unit, a reducing unit, and an outputting unit. The acquiring unit acquires a file including a plurality of pages. At least one of a character and an image is carried on each page. The image page selecting unit selects a page containing the image from the plurality of pages. The reducing unit generates a reduced-size page carrying a reduced-size image from the selected page. The outputting unit outputs the reduced-size image.

Information processing device

A data processor includes an image acquiring unit, a reference file acquiring unit, and a file generating unit. The image acquiring unit is configured to acquire a plurality of sets of image data indicating a plurality of images. The reference file acquiring unit is configured to acquire a reference file including a reference object including first information indicating a layout of at least two images among the plurality of images. An image forming apparatus is provided with a data retrieving unit that retrieves index image data and associating file information corresponding files from a recording medium. The index image data and associating tile information are allocated to a plurality of arrangement sections. The index image data and associating file information may be printed on a printing sheet in accordance with a predetermined layout. A judging unit is provided to judge whether the associating file information is less than or equal to a predetermined length, The associating file information which is longer than the predetermined length is normally printed incompletely so as to he printed within the arrangement section. A layout modifying unit is provided to modify the predetermined layout for the arrangement section if the associating file information is longer than the predetermined length so that the associating file information is printed completely on the printing sheet.

Printing index images and file information together

A page description language processing device is provided for supporting a plurality of types of page description languages. In one example, the device may be configured to read a command from data input and determine whether the command should be converted into a common intermediate code. If the judgment unit judges that the command should be converted into the common command, the controller may store a common intermediate command in the intermediate code storage unit. If the judgment unit judges that the command should not be converted into the common command, the controller may store a special intermediate command in the intermediate code storage unit. The index image data and associating file information may be printed on a printing sheet in accordance with a predetermined layout. A judging unit is provided to judge whether the associating file information is less than or equal to a predetermined length. The associating file information which is longer than the predetermined length is normally printed incompletely so as to be printed within the arrangement section. A layout modifying unit is provided to modify the predetermined layout for the arrangement section if the associating file information is longer than the predetermined length so that the associating file information is printed completely on the printing sheet.

A printer includes an input unit, a cell-size changing unit, a print data creating unit, and a printing unit. The input unit receives table data describing a table including a plurality of cells. Each of the plurality of cells has a size. The cell-size changing unit is configured to be capable of changing the size of a cell that is associated with a formula. The print data creating unit creates print data for printing a cell-size changed table that includes the size changed cell in a predetermined part of a recording sheet such that the formula fits entirely within the size changed cell, if the cell-size changing unit changes the size of the cell. The printing unit prints the cell-size changed table based on the print data in the predetermined part of the recording sheet.
