A plasma display device has a pair of substrates having electrodes and terminals provided at ends of the electrodes. Driving circuits supply a driving voltage to the electrodes via flexible printed circuit boards to emit light. Connectors are detachably attached to the substrate. The connector includes a housing and terminal members disposed in the housing, with the terminal member having a U-shaped cross-sectional shape, so that a first portion as one leg of the &ldquo;U&rdquo; contacts the terminal of the electrode and a second portion as another leg of the &ldquo;U&rdquo; contacts the conductor of the flexible connecting member. The terminals of the electrodes are arranged in a staggered manner at the end of the substrate.

The present invention relates to a driver IC packaging module and a parallel plate type display device incorporating the same, and a chassis structure for an IC module having a high heat radiation effect or a flat display device having a high heat radiation efficiency can be achieved. There is provided a driver IC packaging module which comprises a driver IC chip for driving a display electrode of the flat display panel , a substrate on which the driver IC chip is mounted, a flexible substrate having output wirings on one end of which connection terminals are provided and on the other end of which output terminals are provided so as to connect electrically at least the display electrode and output pads of the driver IC chip , and a structure in which the output pads of the driver IC chip and the connection terminals of the flexible substrate are connected directly and also a direction of exposed surfaces of the output terminals of the flexible substrate connected to the display electrode and a direction of a driver IC chip mounting surface on the substrate are directed oppositely.

Driver IC packaging module and flat display device using the same

A printer including a casing having a front face, a printing unit, and a control circuit. The printing unit includes a printing medium attaching portion and a printing head portion pivotably attached to the printing medium attaching portion. The printing unit is supported in the casing by a moving mechanism so that the printing unit can be freely drawn out forward from the front face of the casing. The moving mechanism also automatically positions the printing head in an open position with respect to the printing medium attaching portion when the printing unit is drawn out from the casing.

Electrical contacts are produced by processes comprising (1) forming on a metallic body a first layer of low melting metal(s) and (2) forming on the first layer a second layer of high melting metal(s). The thus produced contacts possess prolonged life, approximately 10 times that of conventional contacts when they are operated as working contact.
