A vehicular display apparatus that displays an image on a windshield of a vehicle has an attention target detector configured to detect an attention target to which attention of a driver of the vehicle needs to be drawn, and calculate a distance from the attention target to the vehicle, and a display controller configured to perform display control that displays an attention mark on the windshield in a superimposed manner such that, from a point of view of the driver, the attention mark is displayed close to the attention target detected by the attention target detector, the attention mark being displayed to draw the attention of the driver to the attention target. The display controller sets a base point at a position of the attention target on the windshield, sets a display position of the attention mark at a position which is a predetermined distance away from the base point.

Vehicular display apparatus and vehicular display method

A vehicular display device configured to display a guide route to a destination of a host vehicle includes a navigation device configured to calculate the guide route, a display controller configured to draw an arrow having a shaft with an arrowhead at one end of the shaft, as a guide figure for guidance along the guide route calculated by the navigation device, such that the arrow is shaped as a three-dimensional object in which one surface of the arrow is a continuous flat surface from the shaft to the arrowhead and the other surface of the arrow includes a first portion with a first width having a first height, and a second portion with a second width smaller than the first width and having a second height smaller than the first height, and a display configured to display an image drawn by the display controller in a display area.

Vehicular display device

A front object determiner determines an object on a traveling road surface in front of a host vehicle based on an image of a forward view captured by a front camera. A display controller draws an overlapping portion where a guide route calculated by a navigation device and the object determined by the front object determiner overlap each other in a display region on a windshield and a non-overlapping portion where the guide route and the object do not overlap each other in the display region on the windshield such that the overlapping portion is to be presented in a mode different from a mode for the non-overlapping portion.

A vehicular display device, in execution of following cruise control with a preceding vehicle ahead of a host vehicle, causes a fixed indication to light up and displays a following mark in a superimposed manner with a following-target preceding vehicle. The fixed indication indicates that the following-target preceding vehicle has been detected. The vehicular display device includes a preceding vehicle detector that detects the following-target preceding vehicle, a display setter that sets the fixed indication to light up and sets the following mark to be displayed in a superimposed manner with the following-target preceding vehicle when the following-target preceding vehicle has been detected by the preceding vehicle detector, and a head-up display that displays images of the fixed indication and the following mark set by the display setter in a display region provided to be superimposed on a position of a windshield of the host vehicle.

Vehicular display device and vehicular display method

A vehicular display device includes a display configured to display an image in a display area that overlaps a position of a windshield of a vehicle, a display processor configured to display a direction guide image in the display area in a manner superimposed on a road on which the vehicle is traveling, the direction guide image being an image showing a turn position where the vehicle is to make a turn on the road, and a display pattern determiner configured to determine a display pattern of the direction guide image based on a traveling speed of the vehicle. The display pattern determiner determines the display pattern such that, the higher the traveling speed is, the longer a length from a top end to a bottom end of the direction guide image is.

A vehicular display apparatus, when a host vehicle follows a preceding vehicle in front, displays a highlighting indication used to highlight the preceding vehicle over the preceding vehicle in a superimposing manner. The vehicular display apparatus includes a preceding vehicle detector that detects the preceding vehicle travelling in front of the host vehicle, a preceding vehicle distance calculator that calculates a distance between the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding vehicle detector and the host vehicle, a highlighting indication setter that sets the highlighting indication to be displayed over the preceding vehicle in a superimposing manner, and causes a highlight level of the highlighting indication to be higher when the distance between the preceding vehicle and the host vehicle calculated by the preceding vehicle distance calculator is long than when the distance is short, and a head-up display.

A vehicular display device which displays a marker image in a manner superimposed on a preceding vehicle in front of a vehicle when the vehicle is following the preceding vehicle while traveling, includes a display configured to display an image in a display area provided to overlap a position of a windshield included in the vehicle, a preceding vehicle detector configured to detect a position of the preceding vehicle, a display processor configured to cause the display to display the marker image corresponding to the position of the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding vehicle detector, and a determiner configured to determine whether the preceding vehicle is located on an inner side of vehicle widthwise side edges of the display area or on outer sides of the vehicle width direction side edges, based on the position of the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding vehicle detector.

A display apparatus for vehicle includes a speedometer that measures speed of a vehicle, an eco-drive level determination unit that determines an eco-drive level at driving the vehicle based on a recommended depression amount and an actual depression amount, a determination display portion located inside a peripheral visual field region of the driver, a detail display portion located outside of the peripheral visual field region, and a display control unit that controls display in the determination display portion and the detail display portion. The display control unit performs the following controls of (A) setting the display in the determination display portion to ambient display in which contrast of the outline region is lower than contrast inside the outline region, and (B) changing the ambient display according to the change in the eco-drive level.

Display apparatus for vehicle
