A charger configured to charge a battery includes a battery storage chamber configured to accommodate the battery; an opening formed on a first end of the battery chamber in a depth direction, the battery being attached to and detached from the battery storage chamber through the opening; a charger-side terminal provided on the battery storage chamber, the charger-side terminal being connect to and disconnect from a battery-side terminal of the battery stored in the battery storage chamber; and an attaching and detaching mechanism configured to prevent the battery from moving toward the opening while the battery is stored in the battery storage chamber and the battery-side terminal and the charger-side terminal are connected and to eject a second end of the battery in the depth direction from the opening by disconnecting the battery-side terminal and the charger-side terminal.

Battery charger

The dimension in the height direction of a reel braking mechanism to be disposed on the side of an S-side reel table in a video tape recorder is made small while making it difficult to disassemble an assembled state. The dimension in an axis line direction of a pin that engages an elongated hole of a brake member of a brake arm is lengthened, thereby penetrating the brake member and extending downward. The extended portion of the pin is made to pass through a cut formed in an edge of a slide chassis.

Recording and reproducing apparatus

A rear projection apparatus has a cabinet provided with a screen attaching portion, a rear projection screen attached to the screen attaching portion, an image projector for projecting an image onto the rear projecting screen from its back side, and a convex lens disposed at the back side of the rear projection screen, wherein the optical axis of the convex lens is shifted from its mechanical or dimensional center, and the convex lens is removably mounted to the rear projection screen so that the orientation of the lens relative to the screen can be altered whereby the light axis of the image from the rear projection screen is deflected to a predetermined direction by altering the orientation of the convex lens having the shifted optical axis in relation to the screen. The screen attaching portion of the cabinet permits altering the orientation of the lens and, thus, the direction in which the projected image is deflected, without increasing the size of the cabinet.

Rear projection apparatus

An image display apparatus having a cathode ray tube with a deflection device, a projection screen and a projection lens projecting an image from the picture screen of the cathode ray tube onto the projection screen, is further provided with a deflection width control device which changes a dimension particularly the width of the cathode ray tube raster, in response to a change in the type of a television signal supplied to the tube.

Wide screen image projection apparatus

A projecting apparatus, such as a color video projector, includes a screen, a plurality of image sources, such as cathode ray tubes, and a plurality of projecting lenses for projecting the images from the image sources onto the screen to form a compound image. The projecting lenses are arranged so that the principal axes thereof are parallel to one another and at least one of the lenses is arranged with the principal axis thereof epaxially displaced with respect to the central axis of a respective one of the plural image sources, so that the images projected through the lenses are caused to coincide on the screen. One or more light intercepting plates are interposed in the optical path between at least one of the image sources and the screen to intercept a portion of the light emitted by at least one of the image sources so as to compensate for unevenness of distribution of brightness in the projected images.
