The present invention relates to reverse osmosis filtration devices, and more particularly, to membrane filtration devices () that have flow meters and fluid conductivity meters powered by RFID tags. Embodiments of the present invention comprise reverse osmosis filters and filtration systems comprising measuring devices, including flow and conductivity meters. The meters of the present invention are preferably located on or within permeate core tubes () of filtration devices and systems.

Provided are a membrane filtering device managing system by which the membrane filtering device can be managed with a better precision and membrane filtering device for use therein, as well as to a membrane filtering device managing method. At least two sensors of an electric conductivity sensor, a flow rate sensor, and a pressure sensorare provided in at least two membrane elementsprovided in a membrane filtering device. A managing deviceobtains data from the at least two sensor, and compares the data with comparison data that represents a correlative relationship between a position along the axial line direction in the membrane filtering deviceand a standard value obtained from the at least two sensor. Accordingly, it is possible to specify the cause of change occurring in the membrane filtering devicemore definitely, and to carried out a suitable maintenance in accordance with the cause, so that the membrane filtering devicecan be managed with a higher precision.

Provided are a spiral type membrane element that can re-collect the electric power that is used in a good manner, and a spiral type membrane filtering device having the same. The spiral type membrane element comprises a power generating section that generates electric power by using a liquid, and an electric power outputting section that outputs, either in a wired manner or in a wireless manner, the electric power supplied from said power generating section. The electric power that is generated in the power generating section using the liquid (raw water, permeated water, or concentrated water) can be output from the electric power outputting section in a wired manner or in a wireless manner. Therefore, the electric power that is output from the aforesaid electric power outputting section can be used in an electric component disposed outside or can be stored into a capacitor section disposed outside.

Embodiments of the present invention comprise reverse osmosis filters and systems comprising embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for storing and retrieving data. The RFID tags can be preferably embedded under a filtration device's protective outer shell. Information can be easily stored onto and retrieved from the embedded RFID tags. The ability to easily store and retrieve data from the embedded RFID devices facilitates the creation of loading maps, monitoring, addition, and replacement of fluid filtration devices.

The present disclosure relates to a system comprising an integrated sensor for measurement of permeate flow and permeate conductivity of individual membrane elements while they are in operation in an RO unit. The flow and conductivity measuring integrated sensor is of a small size that enables it to be inserted into the permeate tube of connected membrane elements during RO unit operation. Measured flow and conductivity information is transferred to the recording device through electric wires or through wireless transmission.

A liquid separation tube having a tubular membrane inside of a porous support tube and an end part which is insertable into a coupling member has a seal structure which allows the use of a relatively thin adapter which is to be inserted within a packing. In the seal structure, annular grooves are provided on either the outside circumferential wall of the adapter or the inside circumferential wall of the packing and passages are formed through the adapter in the vicinity of the annular grooves so that a pressurized feed solution can expand the packing in the vicinity of the annular grooves to provide a seal between the packing and the tubular membrane.
