A toner container for containing therein toner used for development by a developing device for developing a latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive member is provided. The developing device is supported by a developing frame, and the toner container is mounted in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The toner container having a toner frame has a toner containing portion containing the toner therein, a toner supply opening for supplying the toner contained in the toner containing portion to the developing device, and a toner seal for openably sealing the toner supply opening. A take-up member, disposed in a space formed by the developing frame and the toner frame being coupled together, is provided for taking up the toner seal. A drive force imparting device is provided for imparting a drive force to the take-up member.

Toner container, process cartridge and electrophotographic image forming

A container for receiving an ink jet head cartridge is provided with a plate-shaped member and a container main body which forms a space to accommodate an ink jet head cartridge by being coupled with the plate-shaped member. The container main body has a wall section which does not contact the ink jet head cartridge and a recess portion which projects from the wall section toward the accommodating space to contact and support the ink jet head cartridge.

A sealed ink jet assembly which is removable from an ink jet apparatus includes an ink jet head which has an ejection outlet found at a first surface of the ink jet head, an energy generating element for generating energy to eject ink through the ejection outlet, and an electric contact portion for supplying an electric signal from the ink jet apparatus to the energy generating element by mounting the electric contact portion to the ink jet apparatus. The electric contact portion is provided on the surface of the ink jet head which differs from the first surface, and an integral sealing member covers both the ink ejection outlet and the electric contact portion. The integral sealing member is removed when the assembly is mounted onto the ink jet apparatus.

A recording head is proposed having an ejection outlet for ejecting recording ink, and a container for the recording ink having an air vent. A single sealing member seals both the ejection outlet and the air vent so that when this sealing member is removed, both the ejection outlet and the air vent are unsealed.

A sheet binder for binding sheets by adhering the sheets to a back of a cover member by a heat-fusible adhesive. The sheet binder includes a supporting member for supporting the cover member having the back, to an inner surface of which the heat-fusible adhesive is applied, a heat generating member disposed in the proximity of the supporting member, and an alternate magnetic field generating device for generating an alternate magnetic field to heat the heat generating member.

A developer for developing electrostatic images, comprising: 100 wt. parts of a toner comprising toner particles, and 0.01-3 wt. parts of silica powder which has a particle size of 0.006-0.2 micron and is not fixed to the surfaces of the toner particles; the toner particles comprising 100 wt. parts of colored resinous particles (A) and 0.05-5 wt. parts of silica powder comprising silica particles which have a particle size of 0.002-0.2 micron and have been embedded in the surfaces of the colored resinous particles by mechanical impact means.

A toner for producing electrostatic latent images is produced by smoothing classified resinous particles so that the ratio of the smallest diameter to the largest diameter thereof is 0.70-0.90, mixing the smoothed base particles (A) with modifier particles (B) to attach the modifier particles (B) to the surfaces of the base particles (A), and fixing the modifier particles (B) to the base particles (A) under the action of a mechanical impact force.

Colored resinous particles suitable for use in toner powder for developing electrostatic latent images are produced from a pulverized feed at a good production efficiency and with a sharp particle size distribution through a classifying and pulverizing system including a second pulverization step associated with a second classification step in addition to a first classification step, such a second classification step and first pulverization step. The pulverized feed supplies to the first classification step is classified into a first classified fine powder and a first coarse powder, which is then pulverized in the first pulverization step and recycled to the first classification step. The first classified fine powder is supplied to the second classification step and classified therein into a second classified fine powder and a second coarse powder, which is then pulverized in the second pulverization step and recycled to the first classification step or the second classification step. The second pulverization step is effected under the action of an impact force which is smaller than that exerted in the first pulverization step.
