A three-dimensional sliding system has an X-table and a Z-table, which are actuated to travel independently of each other. The sliding system is simple in construction and adapted to actuate a movable table with less takt time. A bed has a first flat zone extending in a horizontal direction to carry the X-table thereon, a second flat zone extending in a vertical direction to carry the Z-table thereon, and a third flat zone where the first flat zone merges with the second flat zone. The movable table is laid over the third flat zone and linked with the X-table and the Z-table through linear motion guide units, respectively. Actuations of an X-linear motor in an X-direction and actuation of a Z-linear motor in a Z-direction cause the movable table to move into a targeted position with high precision in the X-direction and in the Z-direction.

Three-dimensional sliding system with onboard linear motor

A sliding device with onboard moving-magnet linear motor is envisaged making the reciprocating stroke of a table longer, and enhancing the propulsion, high velocity and response of the table even with small in dimension, compact in construction and better in production efficiency. With the sliding device, a bed serves as a coil yoke while a table is as a magnet yoke. An armature assembly is composed of armature windings, a board on which the armature windings lie in juxtaposition, a wiring lying on the board and making connections with a power line to supply electric power to the armature windings, a protective sheet covering an overall surface of the armature windings and moldings of adhesive material to get the armature windings and connections of a power line with wiring closely adhering to the board.

Sliding device with onboard moving-magnet linear motor

A sliding device is provided which is convenient for manufacturing at high production efficiency the small sliding device, which meets the requirements for high propulsion, high response and long traveling stroke. The sliding device includes a field magnet of eight poles lying on the table, and an armature assembly of twelve coreless armature windings of rectangular shape, which are installed on the bed in opposition to the field magnet. The table is made with a recess sinking by a depth not more than a thickness of the field magnet to make it easier to set in place the field magnet.

A slider unit having built in a moving-coil linear motor is incorporated in a linear motion guide unit having a track rail and a slide. The slider unit is made easy in mounting to the appliances or works. The linear motion guide unit has the track rail and the slider movable lengthwise of the track rail. A linear motor is arranged between any one of widthwise opposing side walls of the track rail and the slider, and composed of a stator comprising a magnet yoke and field magnets, and a moving-coil assembly held on a side edge of a mount of the slider. The linear motor is preferred to make compact or slim in construction the linear motion guide unit, in which the linear motor is incorporated, thus making the slider unit simple in construction.

This curve motion rolling guide unit comprises a spline shaft extending in the longitudinal direction curvilinearly with a predetermined curvature, and a slider fitted around and moved curvilinearly on the spline shaft. The slider comprises a casing, end caps fixed to both end surfaces of the casing, and end seals fixed to end surfaces of the end caps. The casing is provided with raceway grooves in an inner circumferential surface thereof on which rolling elements roll, and return passages. The casing being split into a pair of casing members in the longitudinal direction, and engaged with and fixed to each other at the dividing surfaces thereof.

The present invention discloses a compact and inexpensive linear motor table. The above effects of the present invention are achieved by allowing at least one of either the bed or table to also serve as the yoke, or the magnetic circuit portion, of a linear electromagnetic actuator in addition to its inherent function.

Small linear motor table

An XY table that uses linear electromagnetic actuators to achieve faster operating speeds, improve durability, prevent generation of dust and reduce size (make more compact). The cord for supplying electrical power to the linear electromagnetic actuators and the cords for obtaining signals from each type of sensor are concentrated at an intermediate movement member (X table), and gathered together into a single cord that is used for connection to the outside (controller, etc.). As a result, detrimental effects caused by the cord are minimized which enables the XY table to demonstrate the performance described above.
