A failure diagnostic device for accurately determining a failure of a discharge valve. A failure diagnostic device () serves to perform failure diagnostic of a discharge valve () installed in a discharge flow channel () of an anode discharge gas that is discharged from a fuel cell stack (). The device comprises a detection unit () for detecting a status quantity of the anode discharge gas between a discharge port () for the anode discharge gas of the fuel cells tack () and the discharge valve () and a determination unit () for determining a failure of the discharge valve () based on the status quantity of the anode discharge gas detected by the detection unit () and a failure determination quantity corresponding to the operating state of the fuel cell stack ().

Disclosed is a fuel cell system including a fuel cell, a fuel supply passage through which a fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source flows to the fuel cell, an on/off valve which regulates the state of the gas on the upstream side of the fuel supply passage to supply the gas to the downstream side thereof, a sensor which detects the state of the gas in the fuel supply passage, and control means for controlling the on/off valve based on a value detected by the sensor. The control means stops the opening/closing operation of the on/off valve when the sensor falls into an abnormal state.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell system of the present invention includes a fuel cell, a supply channel which supplies, to the fuel cell, a fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source, a variable gas supply device which adjusts a gas state on an upstream side of this supply channel to supply the gas to a downstream side, a control section which performs PI control of a gas supply command amount with respect to the variable gas supply device, and an abnormality judgment section to judge whether or not the variable gas supply device is abnormal. The controller uses, as a part of a correction term of the PI control, a learning term constituted by integrating an I term only in a case where an operation state of the fuel cell satisfies predetermined learning allowable conditions. The abnormality judgment section judges based on this learning term whether or not the variable gas supply device is abnormal.

A fuel cell system having an on-off valve, such as an injector, disposed in a fuel supply flow path restrains a pressure detection error of a fuel gas in the vicinity of the on-off valve to a small level. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a fuel supply flow path for supplying a fuel gas, which is supplied from a fuel supply source, to the fuel cell, an on-off valve which adjusts the condition of a gas on an upstream side of the fuel supply flow path and then supplies the gas to a downstream side, and a control means which controls the drive of the on-off valve at a predetermined drive cycle, wherein the control means sets the upper limit value of a duty ratio at each drive cycle of the on-off valve.

To improve a response performance in a fuel cell system in which an on/off valve such as an injector is disposed in a fuel supply passage, by decreasing a pressure adjusting error occurring when the drive cycle of the on/off valve fluctuates. A fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell, a fuel supply passage for supplying to the fuel cell a fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source, an on/off valve for adjusting a gas state on the upstream side of the fuel supply passage to supply the gas to the downstream side thereof, and control means for driving and controlling the on/off valve. The control means calculates a feed-forward correction flow rate based on the drive cycle of the on/off valve, corrects the command value of the gas injection flow rate of the on/off valve by use of the feed-forward correction flow rate, and drives and controls the on/off valve based on the command value.

The present invention is directed to a fuel cell system having fuel cells, a supply flow path for supplying a fuel gas from a fuel supply source to the fuel cells; a variable gas supply device for regulating a gas condition of the supply flow path; a first control device for driving and controlling the variable gas supply device; an off-gas flow path configured to release a fuel off-gas from the fuel cells to the outside through a discharge valve; a second control device for driving and controlling the discharge valve; and a defect detection device for detecting a defect of the discharge valve. By using a gas supply command amount for the variable gas supply device, the defect detection device detects a valve opening defect that the discharge valve does not return from an open state to a closed state.

Hydrogen leaking from a hydrogen cylinder has a lower specific gravity than air, thus rises in a cylinder housing space, and reaches a ventilating opening constituted by a group of slits formed in an upper surface of a roof cover. At this time, the ventilating opening is formed in a position above the hydrogen cylinder, and thus the leaking hydrogen can reach the ventilating opening in a short distance as compared with the case where the ventilating opening is formed in a position apart from the position above the hydrogen cylinder. The ventilating openings are provided in a plurality of locations, and thus the leaking hydrogen reaches the closest ventilating opening. The hydrogen gas reaches the ventilating opening, passes upward therethrough and flows outside.
