Provided is a waste liquid storing container capable of reducing imbalance in the absorption of waste liquid in an absorber that absorbs waste liquid. The liquid storing container includes a liquid absorber that absorbs liquid, a casing that houses the liquid absorber, a discharge portion that discharges liquid down in a direction of gravitational force into the casing, and an introduction space into which the liquid from the discharge portion is introduced. The liquid storing container further includes a liquid divider provided inside the introduction space to divide the liquid discharged from the discharge portion.

An inkjet printing apparatus has an inspection unit that inspects an ejection condition of multiple ejecting ports arrayed in a first direction, a motor that moves the inspection unit in the first direction, a conversion unit that reduces rotation speed obtained from the motor and converts driving force of the motor into movement of the inspection unit and a control unit that controls inspection of the ejection condition, performed by the inspection unit. The control unit controls the inspection of the ejection condition based on detection of a rotary encoder detecting rotation of the motor and a linear encoder detecting a position of the inspection unit.

Inkjet printing apparatus and ejecting method

There is provided an inkjet printing apparatus having a configuration of capping and sucking an ejection opening surface for ejecting a plurality of types of inks by using one cap member, in which the inks in the cap member can be sucked and removed evenly. To achieved this, a cap member is provided with a suction opening for externally discharging ink absorbed by an absorber in the cap member. The suction opening is formed in a position where the suction opening does not face first ejection openings for ejecting ink that may not easily stagnate and faces the second ejection openings for ejecting ink that may easily stagnate in a case where the cap member caps an ejection opening surface.

The moving unit moves the print head between the printing position and the standby position by simultaneously performing rotational movement, in which the print head is rotated around a rotation axis that is parallel to the width direction, and linear movement in the gravitational direction, of the print head.
