The microphone device includes a tubular support of a conductive material. A microphone unit is provided at one end of the support and grounded to the support. A cable passes through the support and includes core wires connected to a signal output terminal of the microphone unit. A conductive covering material that covers the core wires and is electrically connected to the support.

A unidirectional condenser microphone includes a front acoustic terminal disposed on a forward portion of a microphone case, a rear acoustic terminal disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the microphone case, and a directionality varying member disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the microphone case. The directionality varying member switches between a first position and a second position. The directionality varying member covers the rear acoustic terminal at the first position while the rear acoustic terminal is opened at the second position. The front acoustic terminal is displaced ahead of the front surface of the microphone case, and the directionality varying member is in close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the microphone case.

A microphone adapter is attachable to a microphone including a microphone unit and a casing having a front sound terminal and a back sound terminal. The microphone adapter has a bottom having a hole through which the casing of the microphone extends and a cylindrical peripheral wall integrated with the bottom, having an open end opposite to the bottom, and covering the periphery of the back sound terminal. The cylindrical peripheral wall has an internal diameter larger than the external diameter of the casing of the microphone so as to define a space between the cylindrical peripheral wall and the external peripheral surface of the casing of the microphone extending through the hole, and extends from the bottom at least to a position of the front sound terminal in a sound collection axis direction.

A battery compartment for a condenser microphone includes a battery space configured to hold a battery; a battery outlet open to a portion of a peripheral wall of the battery space and allowing removal of the battery in the battery space; a lid covering the battery outlet; and a ribbon having one end portion fixed to an internal wall of the battery space and the other end portion disposed to be pulled out from the battery outlet and wrapping around an external periphery of the battery. The ribbon is conductive and the fixed end portion is grounded.

A boundary microphone includes: a base made of metal; a cover that is made of metal and has a plurality of holes through which a sound wave is guided; a microphone unit that converts sound into an electric signal; and a microphone unit holder slidably provided on the base and holds the microphone unit. The microphone unit holder has a knob. The base has a hole through which the knob of the microphone unit holder penetrates the base. The knob of the microphone unit holder and the hole of the base are so provided that the microphone unit holder can be moved with the microphone unit by a movement of the knob within a range defined by the hole.

Unidirectional condenser microphone unit

In a gooseneck microphone in which a support pipe is capable of extending and contracting, and accordingly a microphone cord extension/contraction part is provided in an output module section, the microphone cord soldered part on a circuit board is prevented from being rubbed by the microphone cord extension/contraction part. The gooseneck microphone includes the support pipe that includes a telescopic pipe and supports a condenser microphone unit on the upper end side thereof, the output module sectionthat is connected to the lower end of the support pipe via a connectorat the upper end of a shield case incorporating the circuit board, and a microphone cordone end of which is connected to the condenser microphone unit and the other endof which is pulled out into the output module sectionthrough the support pipe and a connectorand is soldered to the circuit board, and a cord extension/contraction partthat extends and contracts along with the extension and contraction of the support pipe is provided on the other endside of the microphone cord in the output module section. In a gooseneck condenser microphone that supports a condenser microphone unit via a support pipe, when the microphone is used by inserting a microphone cable through the support pipe in the state in which a shield covered wire having no skin is exposed throughout the entire length thereof, the movement of the microphone cable in the support pipe is restricted, by which the generation of noise caused by looseness contact of the shield covered wire with the inner wall of the support pipe is prevented. The microphone cableis inserted through the support pipe in the state in which the shield covered wirehaving no skin is exposed throughout the entire length thereof, and is provided with a conductive contact, in which the central partthereof is held in a state of conducting with the shield covered wire, and wing pieceson both sides are extended in the direction substantially perpendicular to the axis line of the microphone cableso as to be in contact elastically with the inner surface of the support pipe, in the predetermined portion of the shield covered wire

Condenser microphone

In a condenser microphone unit connected to an output module section via a dedicated microphone cord, the generation of noise caused by strong electromagnetic waves sent from a cellular phone etc. is effectively prevented by a simple configuration. In the condenser microphone unit in which a microphone capsuleis supported, for example, exchangeably on a support enclosureand a microphone cordconsisting of a two-core shield covering line for connecting the condenser microphone unit to the output module section is pulled into the support enclosurea shield covering line exposure portion, in which a shield covering lineis stripped off, is provided in a portion in which the microphone cordis pulled into the support enclosureand a fixing memberformed into a doughnut shape is fixed to the shield covering line exposure portionby staking, by which the shield covering lineis connected to the support enclosurevia the fixing member.

It is an object of the present invention to securely prevent a generation of an acoustic resonance due to a rear air chamber of a capsule support in a capacitor microphone including a microphone capsule and the capsule support and to improve assembly of a contacting terminal which is mounted in the capsule support. According to FIG., a capacitor microphone of the present invention includes a microphone capsuleand a capsule supportA which are connected through a connecting screw. A contacting terminalcontacting to a contact pinof the microphone capsuleis disposed on the printed circuit boardhoused in the capsule supportA with an electric insulating blockheld in the contacting terminaland is fixed through the blockand an electric insulating cap member. Whereby, the cap memberincreases the air proof grade of a rear air chamber and makes the air volume of the chamber as small as possible and constant so that an acoustic resonance is not generated.
