3-O-&#x3b2;-D-Glucopyranosyl-4-methyl-ergost-7-en-3-ol or a composition containing 0.001 to 10% by dry mass of the aforementioned compound, which is an extract of a plant of the family Liliaceae or a fraction thereof containing the compound, is used as an active ingredient of a drug for improving pancreatic functions.
