A gate valve according to the present invention including a first valve plate having a valve opening, a second valve plate connected to the first valve plate via first bellows, and an actuator provided between the first valve plate and the second valve plate, wherein the first valve plate is moved by the operation of the actuator, thereby enabling the valve plate, a valve rod, and the like to be made small and lightweight.

A non-sliding vacuum gate valve according to the present invention has a curved cam lead member provided to end of a valve rod, and a pair of rollers provided to a connection rod. The cam lead member and the rollers are engaged with each other and move relatively, so that vertical movement and slant movement of a valve plate and the valve rod are guided.

A non-sliding vacuum gate valve comprising a valve housing hermetically sealed to the outside, an opening formed in one of its side walls, and a valve body disposed within the valve housing and adapted to sealingly open or close the valve seat formed around the opening in which the mechanism for opening and closing the valve body sealingly open or close the valve seat is provided outside the valve housing, the mechanism being made to be able to carry out two subsequent movements, one to move the valve body in a direction substantially perpendicular to the valve seat, the other to move the valve body substantially orthogonal to a direction substantially perpendicular to the valve seat with the valve body being spaced apart from the valve.
