A projection display apparatus includes a projection lens unit that projects image light and on which external light including the image light reflected by a projection target is incident, an optical path separation prism, a narrowband retarder plate and an imaging element. The optical path separation prism includes the first prism having first and second surfaces, the second prism having a third surface disposed on a side of projection lens unit, a fourth surface facing the second surface and a fifth surface, and the polarization separation coating being disposed between the second surface and the fourth surface. The narrowband retarder plate aligns the image light into a first polarization state. Light in a second polarization state in the external light is reflected by the polarization separation coating, is totally internally reflected by the third surface, is emitted from the fifth surface, and is received by the imaging element.

Projection display apparatus

A projection display apparatus includes an image light emitter that includes a light modulation element that emits image light, a projection lens unit that projects the image light on a projection target, an optical path separation element, an imaging element that images external light incident via the projection lens unit and the optical path separation element, and a condensing optical system. The optical path separation element transmits a part of the image light to the projection lens unit, and reflects a part of the external light emitted from the projection lens unit to the condensing optical system. The condensing optical system condenses the part of the external light reflected by the optical path separation element on the imaging element. A capturing angle of the external light in the condensing optical system is equal to or less than a condensing angle of a lens F-number of the projection lens unit.

A projection image display device of the present disclosure includes a light source, an image forming element that forms an image, a color separating and combining unit that separates first illumination light and second illumination light, and combines first projection light and second projection light reflected by the image forming element, and a notch filter that is disposed between the light source and the color separating and combining unit. A first dichroic filter reflects the first illumination light and the first projection light. A first incident angle of the first illumination light with respect to the first dichroic filter is different from a second incident angle of the first projection light with respect to the first dichroic filter. The notch filter attenuates light in a first wavelength band including a boundary between a wavelength band of the first illumination light and a wavelength band of the second illumination light.

Projection image display device

A prism block includes a first prism having first, second and third surfaces, a second prism having a fourth surface parallel to the first surface, a fifth surface facing the second surface, and a sixth surface, a third prism having seventh and eight surfaces respectively facing the second and fifth surfaces, and an optical path separation coating disposed between the fifth and eighth surfaces. Illumination light incident on the third surface is reflected by the second surface, and is emitted from the first surface. Projection light incident on the first surface is emitted from the fourth surface. Imaging light incident on the fourth surface is reflected by the optical path separation coating, and is emitted from the sixth surface. A projection axis plane including optical paths of the illumination light and the projection light, and an imaging axis plane including an optical path of the imaging light intersect each other.

Prism block and projection display apparatus

A projector of the present disclosure includes an image former, a mounter, a second projection lens unit, an adapter, and a back focal length-adjusting spacer. The image former forms and emits image light. The mounter detachably connects to a first projection lens unit including a first projection lens which the image light emitted from the image former enters. The second projection lens unit includes a second projection lens having a back focal length to an emission surface of the image former that is different from a back focal length of the first projection lens. The adapter is detachably connectable to the mounter and detachably retaining the second projection lens unit. The back focal length-adjusting spacer is disposed on the adapter and interposed between the second projection lens and the emission surface of the image former when the second projection lens unit is connected to the mounter via the adapter.

Projector and adapter unit

A lighting apparatus includes: a light source generating a first color component light; a separation element partially transmitting the first color component light, partially reflecting the first color component light, and transmitting a second color component light different from the first color component light at a certain moment; an illuminant excited by the first color component light transmitted through the separation element to generate the second color component light; and an optical system combining the first color component light made incident on the separation element from the light source and reflected by the separation element with the second color component light made incident on the separation element from the illuminant and transmitted through the separation element. The separation element is configured to have variable transmittance and reflectance with respect to the first color component light.

A light source device includes: a light source configured to emit laser light; an optical system having an optical axis for guiding the laser light; a first prism which is disposed between the light source and the optical system and includes a first incident surface on which the laser light is incident, and a first exit surface inclined with respect to the first incident surface; a second prism which is disposed between the first prism and the optical system and includes a second incident surface facing the first exit surface at an interval, and a second exit surface inclined with respect to the second incident surface; and a driver configured to rotate the first and second prisms around the optical axis in a state in which the first exit surface and the second incident surface are inclined with respect to the optical axis.

Light source device and projection display apparatus

A first prism has first to third faces. The first face is opposing a first optical modulator. Any two planes among three planes respectively including the first to third faces intersect with each other. A second prism has fourth to sixth faces. The fourth face is provided to be in contact with the third face via a dichroic coating layer and in parallel with the third face. The fifth face is opposing a second optical modulator and in parallel with the second face. The sixth face is in opposite to the first optical modulator with respect to an optical axis of the second optical modulator. The sixth face is formed to be inclined with respect to a reference surface, such that an unnecessary transmitted light and an unnecessary reflected light of the dichroic coating layer are not totally reflected by the sixth face.

Prism device for use in two-plate video projector apparatus capable of reducing internal stray light of prism device

A night vision imaging apparatus includes a light projecting section, a light amount controller, an imaging section, and a recording section. The light projecting section casts a near infrared ray as illumination light on an illumination area. The light amount controller controls an amount of the illumination light on each one of sub-areas forming the illumination area. The imaging section images the illumination area, and generates image data. The recording section records the image data generated by the imaging section. The light amount controller divides an image shown in the image data into a plurality of divided portions, and determines a light intensity of each one of the plurality of divided portion, and then controls an amount of the illumination light to be casted on a sub-area corresponding to each one of the plurality of divided portions among the sub-areas of the illumination area based on the determined light intensity.

Night vision imaging apparatus

A lighting apparatus is provided with a light source unit including laser diode elements, a collimating lens, and at least one optical element changing only a predetermined one-axis direction of a traveling direction of the substantially parallel light. When the substantially parallel light is incident on a first surface of the optical element, the optical element reflects the substantially parallel light by a second surface to change only the one-axis direction of the traveling direction of the substantially parallel light, and emits an inclined light flux inclined from the substantially parallel light. An aspect ratio of a screen configured by spot lights from the light source unit is changed to an aspect ratio on a cross section of a predetermined position in a traveling direction of the inclined light flux.

A vehicle-mounted stereo camera device that achieves high-precision distance detection is provided. The provided vehicle-mounted stereo camera device includes a left camera and right camera disposed on a vehicle to cause a visual field of the left camera and a visual field of the right camera to overlap each other, a stereo processor that calculates a distance to a body outside the vehicle based on images captured by the left camera and right camera and on positions of the left camera and right camera on the vehicle, and sensors disposed near the left camera and right camera for detecting displacement amounts of the left camera and right camera. The stereo processor changes a cutout positions in the images captured by the left camera and right camera based on the displacement amounts.

Vehicle-mounted stereo camera device and method for correcting the same

The projection display apparatus includes a light source unit, a light deflector, a first light receiver, a second light receiver, and a calculator. The light deflector deflects at least part of incident light coming from the light source unit to a first optical path so as to produce a projection light, and deflects a remaining part of the incident light to a second optical path. The first light receiver receives the at least part of the incident light that has been reflected by the projection surface. The second light receiver receives the remaining part of the incident light. The calculator calculates a distance from the projection display apparatus to a projection surface based on light reception results obtained by the first light receiver receiving the at least part of the incident light and the second light receiver receiving the remaining part of the incident light.

Projection display apparatus that calculates a distance to a display surface

A vehicle-mounted stereo camera device that achieves high-precision distance detection is provided. The provided vehicle-mounted stereo camera device includes a left camera and right camera disposed on a vehicle via a holder to cause visual fields to overlap each other, a stereo processor that calculates a distance to a body outside the vehicle based on images captured by the left camera and right camera and on positions on the vehicle, first and second geomagnetic sensors respectively disposed near the left camera and right camera, and a third geomagnetic sensor disposed on the holder. The stereo processor compares a geomagnetic value detected by the first or second geomagnetic sensor with a geomagnetic value detected by the third geomagnetic sensor, detects a displacement amount of the left camera or right camera, and changes a cutout position in the image captured by the left camera or right camera based on the displacement amount.

The stereo processor detects displacement amounts of the left camera and the right camera based on amounts of change in positions of the first enclosure and the second enclosure within the visual fields of the left camera and the right camera, and changes a cutout position in the images captured by the left camera and the right camera.
