Transmissive liquid crystal panel

A wavelength conversion device according to the present disclosure includes a wheel substrate, a phosphor layer formed on the wheel substrate, and a cooling fin unit disposed on the wheel substrate. The cooling fin unit has a base part to be bonded to the wheel substrate. A surface of the wheel substrate includes a first area corresponding to the phosphor layer, and a second area located closer to the central axis than the first area, the surface of the wheel substrate and a surface at the wheel substrate side of the base part are separated from each other to form a space between the wheel substrate and the base part, and a coupling part configured to thermally couple the surface of the wheel substrate and the surface at the wheel substrate side of the base part is disposed in at least the second area of the second surface.

A projector includes a light source device, a homogenization optical element, a polarization conversion element, a liquid crystal panel, an incident side polarization plate, an exit side polarization plate, a projection optical system, a first housing, a second housing, a first heat-transfer section, a second heat-transfer section, a first fan configured to feed an air current toward the first heat-transfer section and the second heat-transfer section, and a first duct in which the first heat-transfer section and the second heat-transfer section are disposed.

Projector

A light modulation device having a pixel arrangement region in which a plurality of pixels are arranged includes a first substrate, a second substrate disposed to be opposed to the first substrate via a liquid crystal layer, and a cooling member disposed on the opposite side of the first substrate with respect to the second substrate and thermally connected to the second substrate. The cooling member includes a hollow space in which working fluid is encapsulated and changes the working fluid in a liquid phase to the working fluid in a gas phase to cool the liquid crystal layer via the second substrate.

Light modulation device and projector

A wavelength conversion device includes a rotating device, a substrate rotated by the rotating device, a wavelength conversion element, and a first cooling device including, on an inside, a space in which working fluid is encapsulated, the first cooling device cooling the wavelength conversion element. The first cooling device is disposed in a position corresponding to the wavelength conversion element. The space extends from an outer edge side of the substrate to a rotation axis side. The first cooling device includes an evaporator and a condenser which are provided in the space. The evaporator includes a liquid retaining part configured to retain the working fluid in a liquid phase. The liquid retaining part is provided at the outer edge side in the space and disposed in the position corresponding to the wavelength conversion element.

Sound absorber and projector

A projector includes a light source, a light modulator configured to modulate light emitted from the light source, an optical projection device configured to project the modulated light, a light path changer between the light modulator and the optical projection device and on which the modulated light is incident, and a cooler that cools the light modulator and the light path changer. The light path changer includes an optical member to change the light path of the incident light and a first fluctuation member. The first fluctuation member includes a permanent magnet, a coil, and a coil holder holding the coil, and fluctuates the optical member by supplying power to the coil. The cooler includes a fan and a duct to deliver cooling air toward the light path changer. The duct includes a sending port that faces the coil holder and flows the cooling air toward the light path changer.

In a projection-type display apparatus, a polarization converter, a light-incident-side polarizer, a first liquid crystal device, a first light-exiting-side polarizer, and a retardation film are arranged along the optical path from a light source section to a projection system. The light-incident-side polarizer is a wire grid polarizer including a wire grid integrally provided on the light exiting surface of the polarization converter, and the light-incident-side polarizer and the polarization converter form a single optical part. The first light-exiting-side polarizer is a wire grid polarizer including a wire grid integrally provided on the light exiting surface of the first liquid crystal device, and the first light-exiting-side polarizer and the first liquid crystal device form a single optical part.

Projection-type display apparatus

A projector includes a light source, a light modulator configured to modulate light emitted from the light source, an optical projection device configured to project the light modulated by the light modulator, a light path changer disposed between the light modulator and the optical projection device and on which the light modulated by the light modulator is incident, the light path changer changing a light path of the incident light through fluctuation, and a cooler cooling the light modulator and the light path changer.

A projector includes: a light source; a light modulation device that modulates light emitted from the light source; an optical projection device that projects the light modulated by the light modulation device; a light path changing element (shift element) that is disposed between the light modulation device and the optical projection device and changes a light path of the light modulated by the light modulation device through fluctuation; and a cooling device that cools the light modulation device and the light path changing element (shift element).

A projector includes an exterior housing including an exhaust port and a cooling device provided in the exterior housing and configured to discharge the air, which has cooled a cooling target, to the outside of the exterior housing via the exhaust port. The exterior housing includes a partition member that partitions the exhaust port and forms a plurality of openings. The partition member includes projecting sections projecting from an end edge of at least one of the plurality of openings into the opening.
