An image pickup apparatus that can efficiently solve problems caused by heat generated by a heat generating element. The image pickup apparatus including a sensor substrate configured to implement an image sensor, and a main circuit board configured to implement a heat generating element. A length of the main circuit board is longer than a length of the sensor substrate in a width direction of the image pickup apparatus. The main circuit board is aslant arranged to an optical axis of the image pickup apparatus so that a first space part will be provided between the sensor substrate and the main circuit board. A cross section of the first space part in a plane that is parallel to both the optical axis and the width direction is approximately triangle.

Image pickup apparatus equipped with heat dissipation mechanism

An image pickup apparatus that suppresses looseness of an accessory fastened to a fastening portion of an apparatus body. An image pickup apparatus includes an accessory that includes a pair of fastening members, and an apparatus body including two fastening portions to which the accessory is removably fastened using the pair of fastening members. The accessory is provided with a second fitting portion which is fitted to one of first fitting portions formed around the fastening portions, by protrusion-recess fitting, in a state in which the accessory is fastened to the fastening portions of the apparatus body using the fastening members. One of the first fitting portion and the second fitting portion is formed by two fitting portions provided in association with the fastening members, and the other is formed by at least one fitting portion.

Image pickup apparatus to which accessory is removably attached, and image pickup system

An electronic apparatus reduced in the number of components without impairing the operability of an unlocking operation part and an adjacent other operation part of a grip part. A digital video camera has a camera body and a grip part rotatable with respect to the camera body. A lock member within the grip part is rotatable in unison with the grip part, and is pivotally moved between a locking position for locking the grip part and an unlocking position for unlocking the same. A spring member urges the lock member toward the locking position. An operation knob formed on the lock member pivotally moves the lock member to the unlocking position against the urging force of the spring member. A recording start/stop button is formed in the lock member adjacent to the operation knob. The knob and the button are operated in respective different directions.

Electronic apparatus having member for locking grip part

An image pickup apparatus in which an imaging sensor package reflow mounted in advance to a circuit board can be fixed to a fixture member of the image pickup apparatus. A sensor holder of a digital video camera as an image pickup apparatus has a holder body that is positioned to surround an imaging sensor package mounted to a sensor board as a circuit board. Flange portions of the sensor holder are formed to project from a rear end surface of the holder body toward a heat radiation plate having a flat plate shape. The heat radiation plate is fixed to a lens barrel in a state that the flange portions are held between the lens barrel and the heat radiation plate.

Image pickup apparatus having imaging sensor package

A mechanism enabling reduction of the size of a structure for mounting an image pickup device without affecting the amount of movement of an optical system even when screw insertion holes of a sensor plate are arranged closer to the optical axis. The sensor plate of an image pickup apparatus is mounted to a lens barrel with screws, and includes an attachment surface to which the image pickup device is attached and contact surfaces which are fixed to the lens barrel. The attachment surface is protruded from the contact surfaces. By bringing the attachment surface to the lens barrel in the optical axis direction, the device has an image pickup surface positioned with respect to the lens barrel in the optical axis direction. The sensor plate has an opening formed between the attachment surface and each contact surface, for absorbing deformation of the sensor plate.

Image pickup apparatus, including a fixing member, and having image pickup device package mounted thereon

A lens barrier is arranged on a front face of a photographic lens. The lens barrier can move into a lens barrier retraction space at an angle which is inclined with respect to the optical axis of the photographic lens. The lens barrier retraction space is provided under the photographic lens. As a result, a remote control light receiving element and a microphone can be arranged on an object side of the lens barrier retraction space, whereby the object side surface area of a camera body can be made smaller due to the configuration of the lens barrier.
