A textile having excellent water- and oil-repellency can be obtained by a method of preparing a treated textile, having steps of: (1) preparing a treatment liquid comprising a water- and oil-repellent agent, (2) adjusting pH of the treatment liquid to at most 7, preferably at most 3, (3) applying the treatment liquid to a textile, (4) treating the textile with steam, and (5) washing the textile with water and dehydrating the textile, wherein the water- and oil-repellent agent is at least one fluorine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a fluorine-containing polymer and a fluorine-containing low molecular weight compound, and the water- and oil-repellent agent or the treatment liquid contains an organic salt.

Water-and-oil repellent treatment of textile

It is possible to provide the heat resistant material and coating material for OA equipment which comprise a fluorine-containing multi-segment polymer having heat resistance, abrasion resistance, non-sticking property against toner and oil resistance in addition to flexibility and are used particularly on surfaces of fuser roll and belt. Those materials comprise a fluorine-containing multi-segment polymer having an elastomeric fluorine-containing polymer chain segment A and a non-elastomeric fluorine-containing polymer chain segment B, and the elastomeric fluorine-containing polymer chain segment A comprises not less than 90% by mole of perhaloolefin unit as a recurring unit and imparts flexibility to the whole polymer.

Heat-resistant material and coating material for OA equipments having flexibility

A textile having durability of maintaining water- and sufficient oil-repellency and soil releasability before and after cleaning can be obtained by a method of preparing a treated textile, having steps of: (1) preparing a treatment liquid containing a water- and oil-repellent agent, (2) adjusting pH of the treatment liquid to at most 7, preferably at most 3, (3) applying the treatment liquid to a textile, (4) treating the textile with steam, and (5) washing the textile with water and dehydrating the textile, wherein the water- and oil-repellent agent is an emulsion containing a fluorine-containing compound and an emulsifier, the fluorine-containing compound is a fluorine-containing polymer and/or a fluorine-containing low molecular weight compound, and the emulsifier contains an anionic surface active agent having pKa of at least 2.

Water- and oil-repellent treatment of textile

An antiglare-treated article comprising an acrylic resin substrate and a fluorine-containing polymer coating formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein the thickness of the coating is in the range between 0.03 and 0.5 &mgr;m, and the fluorine-containing polymer has a refractive index in the range between 1.30 and 1.40 and comprises a block which is compatible with the acrylic resin and a block comprising a fluorine-containing elastomer. This treated article can be stably produced at low costs although it has the same abrasion resistance and antiglare effects as those of conventional antiglare-treated articles, or it has better antiglare effects than conventional antiglare films while maintaining abrasion resistance.

A stainproofing polymer having: (i) a reactive group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group or its salt, a hydroxyl group, an epoxy group, a phosphoric acid group, an alkoxysilane group, an imine group, a sulfonic acid group, an amino group, an isocyanate group and a blocked isocyanate group; and (ii) a fluoroalkyl group, characterized in that a melting point of a monomer having a fluoroalkyl group, which constitutes the polymer, is at least 70&deg; C. and a melting point of the stainproofing polymer is at least 50&deg; C., gives durability capable of maintaining sufficient water- and oil-repellency after cleaning.
