In order to determine, in a cancer test using nematodes, whether or not the nematodes used in the cancer test are adequate, the present invention is characterized in that after a plate on which a urine from a subject and the nematode are set is placed, a cancer test apparatus performs imaging for quality assay of the nematode during the initial two minutes; an analysis apparatus determines a quality of the nematode using the imaging result; after taxis of the nematode is completed, the cancer test apparatus performs imaging for cancer test assay by the nematode; and the analysis apparatus determines the presence or absence of a cancer in the subject using the imaging result.

A cancer analysis system includes, so as to perform an efficient image analysis in a cancer screening test using nematodes: a light source unit that irradiates a plate on which nematodes and a urine sample are plotted, from below; a photographing unit that takes an image of the plate irradiated by the light source unit; and an analyzer that analyzes the image taken by the photographing unit. A system for culturing a photosynthetic organism such as a microalga has a liquid storage vessel for storing a liquid that absorbs more light in a short-wavelength range than light in a long-wavelength range, a culture vessel for storing a culture solution containing a photosynthetic organism to be cultured and disposed in the liquid storage vessel, a light quantity measuring unit for measuring the quantity of light that the culture vessel receives and a liquid depth controlling unit for controlling the liquid depth from the surface of the light-absorbing solution to the culture vessel based on the measurement result of the light quantity measuring unit. The light quantity measuring unit measures quantities of light which the culture vessel receives separately for different wavelength ranges. As a result, during the cultivation of a photosynthetic organism for the purpose of producing a biofuel or a useful substance, the increase in temperature and the defect caused by light under a strong light condition can be avoided and the decrease in photosynthetic efficiency can be made smaller.

An object of the present invention is to provide a cell culture vessel which is simple in structure and easy to handle, and is capable of preventing damage to the cells when separated, promoting transport of nutrients and excretion of effete matter, and elevating the culturing efficiency improving effect by the structural features. In order to attain the above object, there is provided a cell culture vessel including a culture section provided with a plurality of projections having an equivalent diameter smaller than the cells to be cultured and the culture section side walls enclosing the culture section, wherein the distance between an arbitrary position on the culture section/side wall boundary line and the nearest projection is smaller than the diameter of the cells to be cultured. The effect of the projections in the vessel given to the cultured cells is enhanced.
