A present-in-bed state monitoring system () configured to monitor a present-in-bed state of a subject on a bed (BD) includes: a plurality of load detectors () configured to be provided on the bed or under legs of the bed to detect a load of the subject; a center of gravity position calculating unit () configured to calculate a center of gravity position of the subject based on the detected load of the subject; a waveform output unit () configured to output a waveform including a respiratory waveform of the subject based on a temporal variation of the calculated center of gravity position; a center of gravity position determining unit () configured to determine whether or not the center of gravity position is in an edge area of the bed; a body motion determining unit () configured to determine whether or not the subject has a body motion based on the waveform including the respiratory waveform of the subject, the body motion being different from a respiration of the subject; and a notifying unit () configured to perform a notification about the present-in-bed state of the subject based on a determination result of the body motion determining unit and a determination result of the center of gravity position determining unit.

On-bed state monitoring system and bed including same

There is provides a biological condition determining apparatus for determining a biological condition of a subject on a bed. A biological condition determining apparatus includes a plurality of load detectors which are placed in the bed or under feet of the bed and which detect a load of the subject, a biological information extracting unit which extracts biological information from an output of at least one of the load detectors, a determining unit which determines the biological condition of the subject by comparing the extracted biological information with a referential information prepared beforehand, and an output unit which outputs the biological condition of the subject determined by the determining unit.

Biological condition determining apparatus and biological condition determining method

There is provided a biological information monitoring system for monitoring a biological information on a subject on a bed. The system includes a plurality of load detectors which are to be placed in the bed or under legs of the bed, and which are configured to detect a load of the subject; a load separation unit configured to separate a load component which oscillates according to a heartbeat of the subject, from the load of the subject; and a center of gravity position calculation unit configured to obtain a position of a center of gravity of the subject based on the load component which oscillates according to the heartbeat of the subject.

There is provided a biological information monitoring system for monitoring biological information of a subject on a bed, the system comprising: detectors which detect load of the subject; a center of gravity position calculating unit which acquires temporal variation of a center of gravity position of the subject based on the detected load; a body motion information determining unit which acquires information on body motion of the subject based on the acquired temporal variation; and a respiratory rate calculating unit which calculates a respiratory rate of the subject based on the acquired temporal variation and the information on the body motion of the subject. The body motion information includes information on large and small body motions of the subject, and the body motion information determining unit includes first and second body motion information determining units which determine the information on the large and small body motions of the subject, respectively.

There is provided a respiratory waveform drawing system. The system includes: load detectors configured to detect loads of the subjects and output them as a load signal; a subject number determination unit configured to determine a number of the subjects on the bed based on a frequency spectrum of the load signal; a waveform separation unit configured to separate a load component of each of the subjects from the load signal outputted from each of the plurality of load detectors; a center of gravity position calculation unit configured to calculate a position of a center of gravity of each of the subjects based on the separated load component of each of the subjects; and a waveform drawing unit configured to draw a respiratory waveform of each of the subjects based on a temporal variation of the position of the center of gravity of each of the subjects.

There is provided a respiratory waveform drawing system. The system includes load detectors; a center of gravity position calculation unit; an oscillation coordinate setting unit configured to perform: obtaining a first extreme point at which a distance between an initial origin and the position of the center of gravity of the subject is maximized; obtaining a second extreme point which appears at an opposite side of the initial origin from the first extreme point, and at which a distance between the initial origin and the position of the center of gravity of the subject is maximized; setting a direction connecting the first and second extreme points as a direction of a tentative oscillation axis; and setting a midpoint between the first and second extreme points as a tentative oscillation origin; and a waveform drawing unit configured to draw the respiratory waveform.

Respiration waveform drawing system

There is provided a respiratory waveform drawing system. The system includes load detectors; a center of gravity position calculation unit; a waveform drawing unit configured to draw the respiratory waveform of the subject based on a temporal variation of the position of the center of gravity of the subject; and a drawing compensation unit configured to compensate a drawing state of the respiratory waveform. The drawing compensation unit includes a predictive waveform generation unit configured to generate a predictive waveform for the respiratory waveform of the subject based on the temporal variation of the position of the center of gravity of the subject in a past; and a correction distance calculation unit configured to calculate a distance between the respiratory waveform and the predictive waveform at a predetermined sampling time point, the drawing compensation unit being configured to compensate the drawing state of the respiratory waveform depending on the distance.

Respiration waveform drawing system and respiration waveform drawing method

There is provided a body state detecting apparatus for detecting a body state of a subject on a bed, the apparatus including: a plurality of load detectors which are placed in the bed or under feet of the bed and which detect a load variation depending on a respiration of the subject; and a body state detecting unit which determines an extending direction of a body axis of the subject and a head placement of the subject based on the detected load variation. The body state detecting unit includes a body axis direction determining unit which determines the extending direction of the body axis of the subject based on the detected load variation, and a head placement determining unit which determines the head placement of the subject, in the determined extending direction of the body axis of the subject, based on the detected load variation.
