A shielded electrical connector includes an inner conductor and an outer conductor. The inner conductor includes an extension portion extending from a dielectric toward a circuit board. The outer conductor includes a bottom surface where an opening portion is open, and a back surface facing backward. The extension portion includes a board connection portion protruding from the opening portion to be connected to a conductive portion of the circuit board. A retraction recessed portion is formed in the bottom surface of the outer conductor. The retraction recessed portion extends backward from back edge portion of the opening portion in the bottom surface of the outer conductor and is open in the back surface.

Shielded electrical connector for mounting on a circuit board with an inner conductor and outer conductor

A shield conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor that are assembled to each other. At least one of the first outer conductor and the second outer conductor includes a protrusion portion protruding in a direction of assembly between the first outer conductor and the second outer conductor, and another one of the first outer conductor and the second outer conductor includes a groove portion in which the protrusion portion fits in a state where the first outer conductor and the second outer conductor are assembled. At least one of an outer surface of the protrusion portion and an inner surface of the groove portion is formed with a contact rib. The contact rib extends in the direction of assembly and comes into contact with another one of the outer surface and the inner surface.

Shielded electrical connector for mounting on a circuit board with an inner conductor and an outer conductor

Provided are a shielded terminal and a shielded connector that can prevent a short circuit between a connection portion for an electric component and an outer conductor. A shielded terminal includes an outer conductor, a connection portion for an electric component, and an insulator, wherein the outer conductor has a crimping portion that is crimped onto an end portion of a shielded wire, a bottom surface portion in which an opening is formed forward of the crimping portion, and side surface portions provided on both the left and right sides of the bottom surface portion, the connection portion is disposed between the left and right side surface portions and formed by connecting a center conductor of the shielded wire and the electric component to each other, and the insulator has left and right side walls that are located between the connection portion and the respective side surface portions.

Shielded terminal and shielded connector

Provided is a terminal fitting and a connector with which the amount of insertion of the terminal fitting into a housing can be easily controlled. A terminal fitting includes: a tubular connection portion (); a locking protrusion () that is provided so as to protrude from an outer circumferential surface side of the tubular connection portion (), and is configured to be locked to a groove () provided in a housing (); and a contact-stopper protrusion () that is provided on the outer circumferential surface side of the tubular connection portion () so as to protrude from mating edges () that abut against each other in a circumferential direction thereof in the tubular connection portion (), and is configured to come into contact with the housing () and stop in place.

Terminal fitting and connector

The present invention prevents a cover from being incorrectly installed with respect to an external conductor. This shielded terminal is provided with: an external conductor () that has a connection space () which is between a pair of side walls (), and which is open to the outside via a first opening () and a second opening (); a shielded electric cable () that is connected to the external conductor (); an internal conductor () that is housed in the external conductor () and that is connected to a core wire () of the shielded electric cable () in the connection space (); and a cover () that is installed inside the connection space () from the first opening () and that surrounds the part at which the core wire () and the internal conductor () are connected, wherein an interference part () that interferes with the cover () is formed on the opening edge part of the second opening ().

Shielded terminal

A shield connector includes an inner conductor, an outer conductor, a dielectric, and a housing. The outer conductor includes an outer-conductor-side contact portion that is disposed behind the housing and faces backward in a coupled state with the housing. The housing includes a housing-side contact portion facing forward in the coupled state with the outer conductor. The outer-conductor-side contact portion and the housing-side contact portion contact each other in the coupled state between the outer conductor and the housing.

First and second outer conductors are each a conductive rigid body. The first outer conductor includes a fitting receiving portion. The second outer conductor includes a fitting portion fit in the fitting receiving portion in a direction of assembly to the first outer conductor. One of an inner surface of the fitting receiving portion and an outer surface of the fitting portion is formed with a recessed portion recessed in a width direction intersecting the assembly direction. Another one of the inner and outer surfaces is formed with a protruding portion protruding in the width direction and fitting in the recessed portion. The inner surface of the recessed portion and the outer surface of the protruding portion include contact surface portions contacting with each other to prevent displacement of the first and second outer conductors in a direction opposite to the assembly direction.

Shield connector

A wire with terminal includes a wire and a terminal. The wire includes a conductor and a coating. The wire includes a conductor exposed portion in which an outer peripheral surface of the conductor is exposed. The terminal includes an insulation barrel for holding the coating, and a wire barrel to be connected to the conductor exposed portion in front of the insulation barrel. The wire barrel includes a wire barrel base portion, a one-side wire barrel piece extending from an end part of the wire barrel base portion on one side in a width direction toward the other side to cover an outer periphery of the conductor exposed portion and an other-side wire barrel piece extending from an end part of the wire barrel base portion on the other side to be laid on an outer periphery of the one-side wire barrel piece on the other side.

A terminal includes a wire barrel and an insulation barrel. The wire barrel includes a wire barrel base portion, a one-side wire barrel piece and an other-side wire barrel piece to be laid on an outer periphery of the one-side wire barrel piece. The insulation barrel includes an insulation barrel base portion connected to and behind the wire barrel base portion, a one-side insulation barrel piece for covering one side of an outer periphery of a coating and an other-side insulation barrel piece for covering the other side of the outer periphery of the coating. Tips of the respective one-side and other-side insulation barrel pieces are locked to the coating of a wire on a side closer to the other side than a center in a width direction of the insulation barrel.

A sleeve () is a hollow cylindrical member provided in a shield terminal (), and pressable by a wire barrel () by being arranged between an insulating portion () and a shield portion () of a shielded cable (). A convex portion () shaped to bulge radially outward over an entire circumference is provided at an intermediate position of the sleeve () in an axial direction. The convex portion () is crushed and elongated by the wire barrel () of an outer conductor terminal (). The insulating portion () can be prevented from being excessively compressed.

Sleeve and shield terminal manufacturing method

A shield terminal () includes an inner conductor terminal () and an outer conductor terminal () surrounding the inner conductor terminal (). The outer conductor terminal () has a pull-out opening () through which an inner conductor connecting piece () of the inner conductor terminal () is pulled toward a circuit board (). The outer conductor terminal () includes outer conductor connecting pieces that face the pull-out opening () and that include first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () located on both sides across the inner conductor connecting piece () in a plan view and a third outer conductor connecting piece () that faces the inner conductor connecting piece () in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction of the first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () at a position between the first and second outer conductor connecting pieces () in the arrangement direction.

An outer conductor terminal () includes a body () surrounding an outer periphery of an inner conductor terminal () and having a rear opening and a lid () for closing the opening of the body (). Body-side locks () are provided on side surfaces of the body (). The lid () has side portions () for covering the side surfaces of the body (). The side portions () are provided with front abutting portions () contacting the body-side locks () from the front. The lid () has rear abutting portions () contacting the body-side locks () from behind to sandwich the body-side lock portions () between the front abutting portions () and the rear abutting portions () and to hold the lid (). The body-side locks () include contact portions () that contact the rear abutting portions () with resilient forces.
