A grounding structure achieves a conductive state between members by making contact with the members. One member includes a screw-shaped portion in at least part of the member, and the other member includes an anchoring portion that engages with the screw-shaped portion of the one member under a biasing force in an interlocked state.

Grounding structure and recording apparatus

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head unit including a plurality of liquid ejecting heads in a parallel arrangement. Each liquid ejecting head ejects a liquid from nozzles formed in a nozzle face toward an ejection target object in accordance with a drive signal from a controller. Each liquid ejecting head has an individual two-dimensional code that includes at least a portion of information related to the liquid ejecting head. The liquid ejecting head unit includes a collective two-dimensional code that includes arrangement information of the liquid ejecting heads in the liquid ejecting head unit and collective information related to the information included in the individual two-dimensional codes.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

The liquid ejection device of the present invention includes a guide shaft; a first guide shaft supporting member and second guide shaft supporting member supporting the guide shaft; a carriage configured to move in reciprocal manner along the guide shaft; and a liquid ejection head mounted to the carriage. The end parts of the first guide shaft supporting member and second guide shaft supporting member on the side of the guide shaft are connected to the guide shaft in the horizontal direction or downward from the horizontal direction orthogonal to the up-down direction with respect to the guide shaft.

At a front-end side opposite to a head-fixing-member-attachment side, a protection member has an inclined plane sloped up from a head side toward the opposite outer side in a direction in which liquid ejecting heads are arranged in a row. The surface of the front end is located at a position that is not closer to a head-fixing member in comparison with the nozzle surface of each of the liquid ejecting heads attached to the head-fixing member or level therewith. A recess is formed at a part of the inclined plane. In a state in which one of the caps faces the protection member and, in addition, each of the remaining caps is in contact with the nozzle surface of the liquid ejecting head, a part of the cap facing the protection member is in the recess, which ensures that the cap is not in contact with the protection member.

A liquid crystal device includes a pair of substrates, liquid crystal sandwiched between the pair of substrates, and a plurality of sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel has a transmissive display region and a reflective display region. One of the substrates has a color filter and a transparent insulating film disposed on the color filter. The transparent insulating film has a thin-walled portion provided in the transmissive display region and a region along a boundary between the adjacent sub-pixels. At least a portion of a region in which the thin-walled portion of the transparent insulating film is not provided overlaps the reflective display region. The layer thickness of the liquid crystal in the reflective display region is smaller than the layer thickness of the liquid crystal in the transmissive display region in consideration of the thin-walled portion.

Liquid crystal device and method of manufacturing liquid crystal device having surface grooves and alignment film with improved thickness uniformity

A liquid crystal device includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposite each other with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween, wherein the first substrate includes a signal line, a switching element electrically connected to the signal line, a first electrode electrically connected to the switching element, a wiring line, a dielectric film covering the first electrode, the switching element, and the wiring line, and a second electrode disposed on the dielectric film so as to be opposite the first electrode, and wherein the second electrode is drawn from the dielectric film toward an area where the dielectric film does not exist and is electrically connected to the wiring line through the area where the dielectric film does not exist.

Liquid crystal device

An electro-optical device includes: a sealant provided between a pair of substrates in a frame shape; an electro-optical material layer formed by sealing an electro-optical material within a region surrounded by the sealant; an insulating layer provided within the region surrounded by the sealant on at least one of the pair of substrates; and an alignment layer provided between the insulating layer and the electro-optical material layer. The region surrounded by the sealant includes an effective display region where display is performed and a peripheral region located between the effective display region and the sealant, and the insulating layer within the peripheral region is formed with a recessed portion to which a material of the alignment layer flows.

Electro-optical device having insulating layer with varying thickness in the reflection and transmission displays

A liquid crystal device includes a pair of substrates, a liquid crystal layer provided between the substrates, and a plurality of sub-pixels each having a transmissive display region and a reflective display region. One of the substrates includes switching elements corresponding to the sub-pixels, lines connected to the switching elements, and an insulating film provided on the switching elements and the lines. The insulating film includes first recesses provided in the transmissive display regions, and second recesses provided along boundaries between the adjoining sub-pixels. At least a part of the insulating film other than the first and second recesses planarly overlaps with the reflective display regions. The thickness of the liquid crystal layer is smaller in the reflective display regions than in the transmissive display regions having the first recesses. The depth of the second recesses is smaller than the depth of the first recesses.

Liquid crystal device and electronic apparatus

A wiring substrate is formed of a plurality of metal wiringsformed on a substrate. A guard wiringfabricated of an electrically conductive oxide such as ITO is interposed between at least a pair of adjacent ones of a plurality of metal wirings. When voltages VVVand Vapplied to the metal wiringsare related to be VVVVa guard wiringis present between a metal wiringfunctioning as an anode and a metal wiringfunctioning as a cathode, and the anode metal wiringis prevented from being corroded.
