A high voltage electrical unit is installed above a floor of a vehicle between left and right seats. A bracket is fixed on the floor between the left and right seats, and the high voltage electrical unit is fixed on a bracket top plate of the bracket. A protect cover for covering the high voltage electrical unit is fixed on the bracket. Strength of the protect cover against a lateral load is made higher than strength of the bracket against the lateral load.

Installation structure of high voltage electrical unit on vehicle

A drive device protection structure has a rotary electric machine, a gearbox connected the rotary electric machine, an undercover disposed underneath the drive device and a protecting plate provided to the undercover. The rotary electric machine has a rotary electric machine housing that has a rotary electric machine flange. The gearbox has a gearbox housing that has a gearbox flange. The rotary electric machine flange and the gearbox flange are connected together. The rotary electric machine flange and the gearbox flange are formed such that a lower surface of the gearbox flange is positioned lower than a lower surface of the rotary electric machine flange. The protecting plate is formed of a material more rigid than a material of the undercover. The protecting plate is provided beneath connecting part between the rotary electric machine flange and the gearbox flange so as to face the connecting part.

Structure for protecting drive device

In a battery pack structure for electric vehicles that a battery module, a junction box, and a battery controller for battery management are mounted in a battery-pack-case internal space, clearances, ensured when the battery module is mounted in the case internal space, are configured as temperature-adjustment air passages through which temperature-adjusting air flows. The junction box and the battery controller are arranged at positions spaced apart from each other and facing one straight passage part of the temperature-adjustment air passages. Furthermore, a weak-electric harness, via which the junction box and the battery controller are connected to each other, is wired along the straight passage part, thus ensuring smooth flow of temperature-adjusting air, while improving both the harness-wiring workability and the harness durability.

Battery pack structure for electric vehicles

A battery pack temperature control structure is provided for an electric vehicle, and basically includes first and second battery modules, a temperature control unit and an air duct. The first and second battery modules are disposed inside a battery pack case. The second battery module has a lower height than the first battery module. The temperature control unit has an air blowing port for blowing a temperature control air to the first and second battery modules. The air duct is connected to the air blowing port of the temperature control unit, and has an air blowout opening arranged to blow out the temperature control air to a front of the first battery module at a location above the top of the second battery module. The air blowout opening-extends in a vehicle width direction and blows out the temperature control air toward the first battery module.

Battery pack temperature control structure for electric vehicles

A battery pack temperature control structure is provided for an electric vehicle, and basically includes a battery module, a heavy-current disconnecting switch and a temperature control unit. The battery module is mounted in an inner space of the battery pack case. The heavy-current disconnecting switch disconnects, by a manual operation, a battery high-power circuit in the battery module. The temperature control unit is mounted in the inner space of the battery pack case for producing a temperature-controlled air to be blown to the battery module. The heavy-current disconnecting switch is disposed in an upper space position within the inner space of the battery pack case. The temperature control unit is disposed in a space position that is lower than the heavy-current disconnecting switch and that overlaps with the heavy-current disconnecting switch in the vehicle vertical direction.

A high-voltage harness connection structure for an electrically driven vehicle, having a battery pack disposed in an underfloor position of the vehicle and having a battery-side high-voltage connector terminal disposed on a front end thereof, a power unit arranged in a vehicle forward position with respect to the battery pack and having a unit-side high-voltage connector terminal disposed thereon, and a high-voltage harness that connects the battery-side high-voltage connector terminal and the unit-side high-voltage connector terminal. The harness connection surface of the battery-side high-voltage connector terminal forms a harness connection inclined surface so that the high-voltage harness is connected to be inclined outwardly in a vehicle width direction with respect to a vehicle longitudinal direction, and routed in an outwardly bent state in the vehicle width direction with respect to the vehicle longitudinal direction.

High-voltage harness connection structure for electrically driven vehicle

In a battery pack structure for electric vehicles that battery modules and a controller for battery management are mounted in a battery-pack-case internal space, a first one of clearances, ensured when the battery modules are mounted in the case internal space, which first clearance extends in a first direction, is configured as a first temperature-adjustment air passage, and the second clearance, located downstream of the first temperature-adjustment air passage and extending in a second direction different from the first direction, is configured as a second temperature-adjustment air passage. The controller is arranged at a position facing the second temperature-adjustment air passage. A harness for connecting between each detection line terminal from the battery modules and the controller, and one end of the harness, which harness end is configured as harness terminals connected to the respective detection line terminals, are wired along and arranged in the second temperature-adjustment air passage.
