A parison supply device that continuously supplies, to a blow molding die, parison sections of a parison discharged from an extrusion die, the parison section having a specified length. The parison supply device includes a plurality of tension chucks and a tension chuck operation unit that operates the plurality of tension chucks. The tension chuck operation unit causes the individual tension chucks to perform a repeated operation of grasping the parison at a first position near the extrusion die and moving to a second position separated from the extrusion die such that, before the preceding tension chuck is separated by a set distance from the extrusion die at the second position, the following tension chuck grasps the parison at the first position, and then the parison section is supplied to the blow molding die.

Biaxially oriented polyester container and method of manufacturing the container

A stretch-blow-molded container obtained by biaxially stretching and blow-molding a thermoplastic polyester and which exhibits heat resistance or heat resistance and pressure resistance to withstand sterilization by heating at the time of hot filling. The stretch-blow-molded container is obtained by stretch-blow-molding a preform formed of a thermoplastic polyester as a chief component, wherein the body portion, bottom portion and shoulder portion are stretch-oriented, and at least the central portion in the bottom has an endothermic peak (B) due to the extinction of pseudo crystals in a temperature region higher than a glass transition point of the polyester but lower than a temperature at which the crystals of the polyester start melting as measured by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).

Heat resistant blow molded containers

The invention provides a highly heat-stable polyester container and a method of manufacturing the polyester container, which can be treated by retort sterilization at a high temperature after filling food, a drink or the like in the container and sealing off it, and which has superior heat stability enough to prevent deformation and whitening due to heat shrinkage in a bottom portion of the container even when treated by the retort sterilization. In the polyester container, a barrel portion and a bottom portion of the container are heat-set, and at least the bottom portion of the container has an endothermic peak on a DSC curve in the range of not lower than about 150&deg; C. but not higher than a melting start point.
