A polling processing unit executes a polling process for detecting a device that performs NFC communication. An NFC communication processing unit executes a communication process of performing NFC communication with a mobile device detected by the polling process. Power consumption associated with execution of the communication process is larger than power consumption associated with execution of the polling process. When authentication of the mobile device by an authentication processing unit is completed, or when the execution of the communication process continues for a prescribed time period, the NFC communication processing unit executes a stop process of stopping the communication process until the execution of the communication process is permitted.

A communication system includes a plurality of apparatuses each performing wireless communication with a mobile apparatus. Each of the plurality of apparatuses performs authentication processing for determining whether the mobile apparatus is a mobile apparatus registered beforehand. At least one apparatus of the plurality of apparatuses performs registration processing for obtaining mobile key information to be used for the authentication processing from the mobile apparatus and registering the mobile key information, and sharing processing for transmitting the mobile key information obtained by the registration processing to the other apparatus.

Communication system

NFC standards include a plurality of types (Type A, Type B and Type F). The communication controller performs a polling so as to detect a portable device that communicates in accordance with the NFC standards. The memory stores region information indicating a region where a vehicle is to be used. Based on the region information, the communication controller stops the polling of a type among the plurality of types that is not used in the region.

A field effect transistor is provided between the ground and an H bridge circuit for rotating a motor in forward and reverse directions in a manner that the drain of the transistor is grounded and the gate thereof is coupled to a DC power source such as a battery serving as a bias source which supplies electric power to the H bridge circuit. Thus, when the DC power source such as a battery is reversely connected, the field effect transistor normally in an on state is turned off. A controller monitors the source voltage of the field effect transistor, and when the controller detects an excess current, the controller outputs a control signal to the high-side driver to prevent the supply of electric power to the motor.
