A saddle riding vehicle includes: a meter apparatus; and a head-up display apparatus including a projection unit and a combiner to which an image from the projection unit is projected. The meter apparatus is arranged at a position overlapping with an optical path from the projection unit to the combiner as viewed in plan view.

Provided is a vehicle display device which exhibits high visibility, and which has an attractive external appearance. A vehicle display device according to the present invention is provided with: pointer-type instruments (a speedometer and an engine tachometer; a display disposed next to the pointer-type instruments; and a planar protective plate which has, formed on the front surface thereof, a first reflected-light suppression layer. The protective plate is disposed so as to cover the front surfaces of the display and the pointer-type instruments. Furthermore, in the protective plate, light-blocking layers for concealing spaces between the display and the pointer-type instruments are formed. Moreover, a light-transmitting bonding layer, which covers and bonds a display surface of the display, and second reflected-light suppression layers, which cover the front surfaces of the pointer-type instruments, are formed on the rear surface of the protective plate so as to not overlie each other.

An instrument lighting device configured in such a manner that even index marks disposed away from the light sources can achieve sufficient luminance using a reduced number of light sources. An instrument lighting device comprising: a pointer needle () mounted to a drive shaft () of an instrument body (); a display panel () having index marks (); a light source () for lighting the index marks (); a reflecting surface section () for applying the light from the light source () to the display panel (); and a reflecting wall section () for guiding the light from the light source () toward the reflecting surface section (). The reflecting wall section () comprises a circular conical first reflecting wall section () for mainly lighting index marks () which are present in a first index mark region (N) located close to the light source (), and also comprises a second reflecting wall section () consisting of a curved surface or a flat sloped surface for mainly lighting index marks () which are present in a second index mark region (F) located farther away from the light source () than the first index mark region (N). The instrument lighting device can illuminate the index marks () on the display panel () by transmitted light with substantially uniform luminance.

Provided is a vehicular meter, which can suppress the complication of structures of peripheral parts, when an operation shaft and an elastic member are to be supported, thereby to realize the cost reduction. The vehicular meter comprises: an indication element D; a circuit boardarranged on the back of the indication element D; and a manipulation mechanism S for switching pieces of information to be indicated by the indication element D. The manipulation mechanism S includes: a switch element; an operation shaftfor activating the switch element; and an elastic memberfor returning the operation shaft. This operation shaftincludes a push portionfor actuating the switch element; hook portionsandinserted into a through holeof the circuit boardto come into engagement with the back face of the circuit board; a flange portionopposed to the circuit board. The elastic memberis positioned between the flange portionand the circuit boardfor biasing the hook portionsandin a direction to abut against the circuit boardby its restoring force.
