An optical fiber protective unit includes: a reticulated tube having openings that are reticulately formed, the reticulated tube being configured to accommodate a plurality of optical fibers inserted through the reticulated tube; a tubular member disposed inside the reticulated tube, the tubular member being configured to accommodate the plurality of optical fibers through the tubular member; and a cylindrical member attached to an end part of the reticulated tube. The cylindrical member has an inner diameter that is larger than an outer diameter of the tubular member.

Optical fiber protective unit and method for protecting optical fiber

An optical fiber-cable branch member includes: a branch member main body; a cable fixing portion that holds and fixes an end portion of a jacket of an optical fiber-cable onto the branch member main body; and a tube fixing portion that fixes a plurality of protective tubes onto the branch member main body. The optical fiber-cable includes a first optical fiber core bundle and the jacket, and the jacket coats an outer circumference of the first optical fiber core bundle and includes a tension-resisting member buried in a cable longitudinal direction. The plurality of protective tubes cover and protect respective outer circumferences of a plurality of second optical fiber core bundles obtained by branching the first optical fiber core bundle extending from the end portion of the jacket.

A reinforcement sleeve for connecting a plurality of optical fibers to each other by fusion splice includes: a base member; a cover member that sandwiches a fusion splice portion of the plurality of optical fibers between the cover member and the base member; a first adhesive layer disposed between the base member and the plurality of optical fibers; and a second adhesive layer disposed between the cover member and the plurality of optical fibers. A width of the reinforcement sleeve is defined by a reinforcement sleeve standard relating to a reinforcement sleeve, and a height of the reinforcement sleeve is 1/n of a height defined by the reinforcement sleeve standard, where n is an integer equal to or larger than 2.

An optical wiring unit includes a plurality of drawers with optical adapters. Each of the drawers includes a first latch part and a second latch part. A fiber arrangement member includes: a tubular housing that houses a plurality of optical fibers; and a plurality of guide portions extending from a first end in an axial direction of the housing toward side areas of the first end. The guide portions extend from the housing in different directions from each other crossing an axial line of the housing. The guide portions comprise guide grooves that house the optical fibers and communicate with an inner space of the housing. The grooves are open at sides of the grooves opposite to a second end in the axial direction of the housing on entire lengths in extending directions of the grooves. The grooves selectively house the optical fibers extended from the first end in the axial direction of the housing. The optical fibers housed in one of the grooves move into another of the grooves.

An identification display device which is provided in a work unit in which a plurality of work locations are arranged in rows, and which displays for identifying a designated location selected from the work locations, the identification display device includes a database which stores address information of the respective work locations; light-display section which is provided respectively on each of the work locations, and which emits a visible light which contains the address information of the work location in which the light-display section is arranged; a photoreceptor which transmits a photoreception signal which contains at least the address information contained in the light from the light-display section, when the light is received; and a confirmation section which receives the photoreception signal from the photoreceptor, and determines whether or not the address information contained in the photoreception signal matches the address information of the designated location obtained from the database.
