A riding lawnmower includes left and right wheels, at least one caster wheel, a lawnmower blade or reel, and a control section. The left and right wheels are independently driven by electric rotary machines to travel. The lawnmower blade or reel is driven for mowing. The control section, in response to turn instruction input by a turn operator, controls the left and right wheels according to preset standard setting conditions, or according to deceleration setting conditions which differ from the standard setting conditions, under which at least one of a vehicle movement speed and vehicle turning speed is decelerated more than under standard setting conditions. The riding lawnmower includes a section designating either standard setting conditions or deceleration setting conditions. In a riding lawnmower, left and right wheels are caused to turn around a turn center position corresponding to a turn instruction according to designated setting conditions.

Riding lawn mower

A hybrid working vehicle comprises an engine, a drive wheel, a power take-off (PTO) shaft, and a power transmission system for transmitting power from the engine to the drive wheel and the PTO shaft. The power transmission system is bifurcated at a bifurcating point into a traveling drive train for driving the drive wheel and a PTO drive train for driving the PTO shaft. A continuously variable transmission is provided on the traveling drive train, and a motor generator is provided on the power transmission system between the engine and the bifurcating point. The motor generator functions as a generator by power of the engine and functions as an electric motor for driving the power transmission system. The hybrid working vehicle includes a controller for controlling an output rotary speed of the motor generator functioning as the electric motor.

Hybrid working vehicle

A transmission comprises a casing, an output element, a hydrostatic stepless transmission unit (HST) and a forward/backward traveling direction selecting unit (reverser). The output element is supported by the casing. The HST is disposed in the casing so as to be driven by a drive source disposed outside of the casing. The HST includes a pump shaft and a motor shaft member. The pump shaft is drivingly connected to the drive source. The motor shaft member is fitted around the pump shaft coaxially to the pump shaft so as to be rotatable relative to the pump shaft, thereby constituting a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor centered on the pump shaft and the motor shaft member. An axially distal end of the motor shaft member is disposed on the axially proximal side of an axially distal end of the pump shaft so that axial ends of the pump shaft are the axially most distal ends of the HST in the axial direction of the pump shaft. The reverser is disposed in the casing so as to transmit power outputted from the HST to the output element. The reverser includes a forward-traveling drive train, a backward-traveling drive train, and a clutch for selecting either the forward-traveling drive train or the backward traveling drive train to transmit the power outputted from the motor shaft member to the output element. The reverser and the output element are entirely disposed between the axial ends of the pump shaft in the axial direction of the pump shaft.

Transmission

An electric transaxle unit includes an axle, an electric motor for driving the axle, a motor shaft serving as an output shaft of the electric motor, the motor shaft being not coaxial to the axle, a deceleration gear train interposed between the motor shaft and the axle, a brake adapted to brake any element in a power train between the motor shaft and the axle via the deceleration gear train, and a casing. The casing incorporates the axle, the electric motor, the motor shaft, the deceleration gear train and the brake. The casing includes an attachment portion to be attached to a frame, and wherein the attachment portion has a constant height from a center axis of the axle regardless of whether the casing is vertically inversed.

Electric transaxle unit

A control system for a lawnmower vehicle having a plurality of electric motors may include at least one controller for controlling operation of the drive wheel electric motor in response to an operation amount of at least one operator. The controller may control operation of a driver for driving a mower-related electric motor to cause the mower-related electric motor to activate or stop.

Control system for a lawnmower vehicle having a plurality of electric motors

An axle driving apparatus for being mounted on the body frame of a vehicle and for independently rotating drive wheel members. The axle driving apparatus includes a first axle driving unit (L) having a housing () and a single axle (L), the single axle (L) defining a proximal end portion rotatbly mounted in the housing () and a distal end portion extending outwardly from a first side of the housing (). An enlarged region is defined by the housing (), with the enlarged region extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the single axle (L). A hydraulic stepless speed change assembly () is disposed within the enlarged region. The speed change assembly () includes a hydraulic pump () having an input shaft () projecting from the enlarged region and includes a hydraulic motor () including an output shaft () driving connected to the single axle (L). The first axle driving unit (L) is used in conjunction with a second axle driving unit (L) on the body frame of the vehicle and which is of substantially similar construction. However, the second axle driving unit (R) features a single axle (R) which extends outwardly from a second, opposite side of the housing () such that the axles (L,R) are oppositely disposed.

Axle driving apparatus

A transaxle includes an axle and a multiple motor generator unit for driving the axle. The multiple motor generator unit includes a common rotor shaft drivingly connected to the axle, armature windings serving as a first stator and a second stator aligned opposite each other in the axial direction of the rotor shaft, a common rotor member fixed on the rotor shaft, and permanent magnets provided on the common rotor member so as to serve as a first rotor facing the first stator, and as a second rotor facing the second stator. The first stator and the first rotor constitute a first motor generator. The second stator and the second rotor constitute the second motor generator. A total motor output torque of the first and second motor generators for rotating the rotor member and the rotor shaft can be changed in correspondence to a load applied from the axle to the rotor shaft.

Transaxle

The traveling system transmission structure for vehicle includes a planetary gear unit, a forward/rearward-travel switch unit and a transmission case. A front end portion of a sun gear shaft is directly or indirectly supported by a front bearing wall that is detachably connected to a front side of the transmission case and a rear end portion of a planetary outputting member is directly or indirectly supported by an intermediate bearing wall, so that the planetary gear unit is accommodated in a front chamber that is sandwiched by the front bearing wall and the intermediate bearing wall. A front end portion of a forward/rearward-travel input shaft is directly or indirectly supported by the intermediate bearing wall and a rear end portion of a clutch shaft is supported by a rear bearing wall that is detachably connected to the rear side of the transmission case, so that the forward/rearward-travel switch unit is accommodated in a rear chamber that is sandwiched by the intermediate bearing wall and the rear bearing wall.

Traveling system transmission structure for vehicle

A riding work vehicle includes right and left wheels, at least one caster wheel, and a working machine. The lawnmower vehicle further includes traveling motor, steering motor, a traveling system clutch, and a steering system clutch. The traveling system clutch is configured to disable transmission of the rotational force from an axle of the caster wheel to the traveling motor in a state where the traveling motor is deactivated. The steering system clutch is configured to disable transmission of the rotational force from a steering shaft for the caster wheel to the steering motor in a state where the steering motor is deactivated.

Riding work vehicle

A riding lawnmower vehicle includes two main drive wheels, at least one caster wheel, an electric traction motor, an internal combustion engine, a generator driven by the internal combustion engine, and a lawnmower. The electric energy generated by the generator can be supplied directly or via an electric accumulator to the electric traction motor. The main drive wheels are independently driven by the electric traction motor, which can operate as a traction power source. When viewed from one end to the other end in the width direction of the vehicle, the internal combustion engine and a secondary battery operable as the electric accumulator overlap each other, and the main drive wheels overlap at least a part of at least one of the internal combustion engine, the generator, the secondary battery, a fuel cell, a capacitor, an inverter, a cooling device, a mower driving motor, and a grass-collecting duct.

Riding lawnmower vehicle

A dual clutch transmission includes odd-numbered forward traveling speed drive trains to be activated by engaging a first clutch, even-numbered forward traveling speed drive trains to be activated by engaging a second clutch, and a plurality of backward traveling speed drive trains including at least one backward traveling train to be activated by engaging either the first or second clutch. While a reverse mode is set and when a reverser operation means is shifted between a forward traveling position and a backward traveling position, the first and second clutches are alternately engaged/disengaged for a forward/backward traveling speed shift between a backward traveling speed set by at least one backward traveling speed drive train and a forward traveling speed set by any one forward traveling speed drive train activated by engaging the first or second clutch which is different from the first or second clutch adapted to be engaged for activating the at least one backward traveling speed drive train.

Dual clutch transmission

A hydraulically driven vehicle comprises: a first transaxle disposed at one of front and rear portions of the vehicle, wherein the first transaxle incorporates a first hydraulic motor for driving a first axle; a second transaxle disposed at the other of the rear or front portion of the vehicle, wherein the second transaxle incorporates a second hydraulic motor for driving a second axle; a hydraulic pump for supplying fluid to the first and second hydraulic motors; a mower; a duct for transferring grass mowed by the mower, wherein the first transaxle is disposed above the duct; and a vertical power train interposed between the first axle and an axial center shaft of a wheel driven by the first axle, wherein the power train is disposed on a lateral outside of the duct.

Hydrostatic transaxle and hydraulically driven vehicle

A dual clutch transmission comprises a first clutch to be engaged for setting any one of forward-traveling odd-numbered speeds and a second clutch to be engaged for setting any one of forward-traveling even-numbered speeds. The dual clutch transmission establishes a desired forward-traveling speed by alternately engaging/disengaging the first and second clutches. A backward-traveling drive train is adapted to be driven by engaging one of the first and second clutches. When a reverse mode is established by a mode setting means, the one of the first and second clutches is engaged to drive the backward-traveling drive train by setting a speed change manipulator at a backward-traveling position, and the other of the first and second clutches is engaged to drive a fixed one forward-traveling speed drive train by setting the speed change manipulator at a forward-traveling position. While the reverse mode is established, the backward-traveling drive train and the fixed one forward-traveling speed drive train are kept activated regardless of whether the first or second clutch is engaged.

An axle driving apparatus for being mounted on the body frame of a vehicle and for independently rotating drive wheel members. The axle driving apparatus includes a first axle driving unit (L) having a housing () and a single axle (L), the single axle (L) defining a proximal end portion rotatably mounted in the housing () and a distal end portion extending outwardly from a first side of the housing (). An enlarged region is defined by the housing (), with the enlarged region extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the single axle (L). A hydraulic stepless speed change assembly () is disposed within the enlarged region. The speed change assembly () includes a hydraulic pump () having an input shaft () projecting from the enlarged region and includes a hydraulic motor () including an output shaft () drivingly connected to the single axle (L). The first axle driving unit (L) is used in conjunction with a second axle driving unit (R) which is adjacently disposed to the first axle driving unit (L) on the body frame of the vehicle and which is of substantially similar construction. However, the second axle driving unit (R) features a single axle (R) which extends outwardly from a second, opposite side of the housing () such that the axles (L,R) are oppositely disposed.
