To provide a display device having an input means using a bending action. A display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a display part, a first sensor element, and a second sensor element. The display part is provided between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first sensor element and the second sensor element are provided in their respective regions overlapping with the display part between the first substrate and the second substrate. The region where the second sensor element is provided overlaps with the region where the first sensor element is provided. The first substrate and the second substrate have flexibility. The first sensor element has a function of detecting the presence or absence of an object touching the first substrate or the second substrate. The second sensor element has a function of detecting the distortion of the first substrate or the second substrate.

Display device and operation method thereof

A display system including a display device and an image processing device is provided. The display device includes a second display panel overlapping with a first display panel on the display surface side. The second display panel has a region that transmits visible light adjacent to a display region. The region that transmits visible light of the second display panel overlaps with a display region of the first display panel, which makes a non-display region between display regions of two display panels in the display device small. The image processing device has a function of correcting the gray scale, which is included in image data, corresponding to at least one of a portion overlapping with the region that transmits visible light and a portion not overlapping with the region in the display region of the first display panel.

A first substrate which includes a reflective layer having an opening, a light-absorbing layer, and a material layer formed in contact with the light-absorbing layer over one of surfaces is provided; the surface of the first substrate over which the material layer is formed and a deposition target surface of the second substrate are disposed to face each other; and irradiation with laser light whose repetition rate is greater than or equal to 10 MHz and pulse width is greater than or equal to 100 fs and less than or equal to 10 ns is performed from the other surface side of the first substrate to selectively heat a part of the material layer at a position overlapping with the opening of the reflective layer and deposit the part of the material layer over the deposition target surface of the second substrate.
